We're still plugging away with bits here and there on top of our usual 500 overpayment. Generally averaging 600 extra a month. We now under 154K and hoping to get below 150K for December, then to have a month off to enjoy Christmas and get back into it in Jan.

    Good luck all

Just took me ages to find this...
another £250 put in savings ...hoping to be under £30k next month.

My mortgage is an offset at 0.99% so I assume that I'm better off having the money in savings accounts paying 2.6% rather than the offset.

Cool. Just managed to find an extra £500 to pay off my capital. Took it below £43k which is now 10k below what I started this challenge with. Still behind with the plan to pay it off in 3 years but a 9k endownment winging its way to me next June will put me back on track.

hello FB and all other MFI3 ers

I haven't been very on the ball with my updates to the googledocs thingy, but I have just done it today. My DS2 is 5 months old now so he is my excuse for lack of updates :o:D

Current MF news from me, £79,480 now reduced to £53,385 yay!

current dilemma on the MF front: new kitchen is required as old one now very leaky, so may cause structural problems.

IKEA and B and Q are offering 24-36 month interest free deals, so we won't have to give up our overpay pot immediately and can throw more at the mortgage. Howdens offers no interest freedeal and is £4600 payable now. Advantage of howdens is that we can start the work on monday whereas the other 2 deals will have a lag time of 4 weeks plus hanging around for the fitter.

    Dilemma!

Best wishes to you all in your MF quests,

    Love weezl x

Weezl I would go with Howdens - much better quality.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

i have had to pay the mid year tax bill and looks like i will be having to reduce my contract to 3 days a week for a short while as it's very quiet on the workfront here - so 40 percent loss of earnings:eek:. overpayments will take a big hit but at least nothing else will be effected. i'm ahead of myself at the moment and hoping things will get back on track.
