Thanks all...I'll leave it up to FB whatever they think is best to do...I do still have intentions of paying it off early if I can but need to get my head around treatment first.

    Hi taxi73,
Really sorry to hear about your news. Keep positive and don't stress too much about the mortgage / debts.

As for the in / out of the challenge debate, I'll leave that up to you, but I'll explain what I've been doing with the 'free slots'.

I've suggested that we remove the people with no objective. As these people have not declared any balances in chart 01 and 02, removing these people has no effect on the numbers and the gaps become free slots.

However, others such as yourself who have provided chart updates to have an effect on the overall stats and wiping the details completely will effect the stats.

In short, if you've provided a balance at any chart, you'll stay in the charts, even if you pull out of the challenge as your payments contribute to the overall payments. At worst, you get a strike through in your name and objective. At best, you can re-join the challenge as and when you choose.

    Hope that makes sense?

Filled some of the 'free slots' as follows:

    35 clearing_out_my_pockets
    37 liuhut
    43 welshlady33
    117 greent
    121 museumworker

Just in the process of adding to the charts and will update post #1 once the objectives filter through.

With a bit of luck and the application of some sense (doubtful!) the tories will take a massive swipe at the public sector and benefits. There's a whole load of fat to be cut out of both camps so it'll be interesting to see if they've got the nerve to unsettle all the !!!!!!!!!!s! I'm looking for interest rates to rise no more than 0.25% by the end of the year to stay on track for the mortgage going.

I'm hoping, if nothing else, that the budget will positively affect the £! My gambling activities are going to be curtailed a wee bit in Vegas this year otherwise...

Set some tasks for myself a while ago. If I say I'll do something, then I'll (eventually) get it done.

Finally after a bit of choice words, managed to get an 'Updated' column in Chart 01. Was having bother as I created a Chart01New as a clone of Chart 02, copied the data in from the 'old' Chart 01 and renamed Chart 01 as Chart01Old.

Having forgot that I reference other documents, I had to locate all referenced that Google docs had automatically changed to Chart01Old and set back to Chart01. :o

    In short, we're now good.

Just one week before we're locking Chart 02, so try and get an update in on or before 30th June, if you've not done so already.

    Thanks,

I'm off to a great start this quarter. I had my tax credit update, so got a sum from that, and DH filled in his tax return. He is owed £1400, which will be divided as money to pay TV license bill, money for 2 lots of car insurance, then the rest can go to the mortgage. I worked out this morning that this £600 plus the 2 normal payments left between now and then means that i will just have to overpay any interest added in order to meet my target on the next chart. This may be my chance to get a bit ahead so i can have less stress around the december period.

We also have DHs overtime to cash in, so when that comes, i would normally allocate to the mortgage, but we need to have the kitchen refurbed as well. So i think some of this will need to go towards that and we will see how we go with the rest.

I'm feeling pleased to now though. :D

    Hi all

Wow, amazing to think we are on chart two already, thanks FB for all the fancy chartwork they are soooooo pretty too :rotfl:

I've made a £500 OP this month which takes me to £3845.00 or 9.6% of my total MFiT T2 target, whilst this is good I'm actually £3932 behind where I should be but I've been building savings back up to pay back some stoozes that I dipped into :o The good news is that I've paid back £3152 on a stooze this month and another one for £10,250 although I had to reschedule £8k of the latter and once that's repaid then no more stoozing for me until interest rates change! What this does mean though is that once the stooze is repaid I can then throw the extra money into my OP's and it's for this reason that I'm not too concerned about being behind my MFiT target at this stage in the game.

You're all doing great - I don't get to post much but try to keep up to date with how you are all doing.
MFW Start Date 1.4.08. Updated 23.1.18. MFW date 1.8.18

    Int Only o/s £94,982, now £16,004 (-78,978)
    Total daily interest £1 [a) £0.77 b)£0.23
