Considering our original target was to get down to £85,000 in 3 years, we would now like to clear our mortgage at the end of this challenge, which is also the end of our fixed rate date.

Excellent news dexter fan. I've updated your objective on the charts, plus post #1 of this challenge.
Now up to date with the mortgage balances, so if anyone has supplied an update (probably those supplied in this thread), can you re-update via the updates form (thanks medic1978).
Note - all of the charts and links are in posts #4 and #5 at the beginning of this thread.
:j:j We're already at 1 and a quarter million pounds paid back - well done everyone. :j:j
As for gaps in the charts, what about also freeing up some space for people who have yet to set an objective?
Eg, picking on willow girl (35) - sorry - you're just the first "no challenge set" on the list, she expressed an interest in joining the challenge on 18/03/2009, thus has had 15 months now to set an objective.
I know there's been a few new diaries and I'm sure there will be a few people on the MFW-2010 thread who may be interested in a longer challenge.
Perhaps scrub those will without an objective and free up a few slots for some new people?
Not looking to create any new numbers - just fill up some gaps? Sound ok?

Good idea. I think it needs to be an active a challenge as possible. If people haven't supplied an onjective and no updates at all in that long a time then very reasonable to offer the numbers to others0 -
I think its better to have active members too. Much more motivation to the rest of us to up our game.:D0

Me 3. Get in some newbies. Although I want more people will little targets and then I won't feel so bad. Where does everyone get all this extra money from? There again we are running 2 houses so thats probably why!! In 2 years when we can live together again perhaps we'll be able to step it up a bit! xReduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
% of house owned/% of mortgage paid off. July 25 - 38.82%/31.66%

Hi all,
Just been reviewing the members in the Mortgage Free in Three – Take 2 (MFiT-T2) challenge and there are a number of members who expressed an interest in joining during the registration period (09/01/2009 to 31/12/2009), but failed to set a mortgage reduction objective and not provided any chart updates to date.
Six months on, we’re no longer offering any new positions, but instead freeing up these slots to anyone who would like to join for the remainder of the challenge – ending on 12/12/12.
There are eight (8) ‘free slots’ to fill. The numbers to allocate are: 35, 37, 43, 117, 121, 128, 144 and 177. Numbers allocated on a first come, first served basis, but if you fancy a particular number and you get there first, you’re welcome to have that one…
If you could post your interest in this challenge thread.
Many thanks,
Financial Bliss / Maz123.Mortgage and debt free. Building up savings...0 -
Crossing over from 2010 MF Wannabes... We'd like to reduce our mortgage from £156,247 to £142,000. Is that too small a target for this challenge?Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0
