Just a quick update from TheBees #80. Sorry it's late but DS16 doing GCSE's at the moment so life here's a bit stressy!!!

Virtual balance is now £46480. (£2480 sat in pay off mortgage account!) Had a bit of a wobble for a few months when DH had to fight for his job due to redundancy and we thought we might need the mortgage savings for living off but it looks like its all going to be fine now.
Hoping to retire earlier than 67!

so glad i joined this challenge. it really is a great motivator and i'm rubbish at charts so it's brilliant to have someone else to do it for me.

Late update from me this time (but FB already knew this would happen)
Am declaring at £35,000 -think this means I'm still on target but will wait till it shows on the chart to be certain.
I can only echo everyone else's thanks to FB and Maz for their hard work and thank all for providing the continuing motivation and encouragement.
Provided life (or the goverment) doesn't throw too many obstacles in the way I should be MF just before this challenge ends

    Hi everyone,

Sorry FB I'm late. I've just updated via google docs but my new balance is £96,644.

We're changing mortgage very soon and there will be an updated balance, but I'll make sure I update in time for Sep. Hope I haven't dipped out on the current chart. But serve me right if I have! :o

Thanks for all your hard work on this thread. I don't post too much but I always follow. :T

    Hi all

Congratulations to all those continuing to make good progress.

I have only been keeping an occasional eye on this thread as we have temporarily stopped making additional payments to the mortgage since needing to take a loan to buy a new car earlier this year. We have therefore been putting all extra money to clearing this loan so as we can focus again on the mortgage. Not so bad as last time we remortgaged we reduced the morgage term by five years so we are technically still overpaying from the original loan. Also we have some lump sums to come next year, one of which we had ear marked for a car so hopefully we will still be able to achieve our target.

Our current fixed is coming to an end and we are in the process of changing to theoneaccount and so if we go through with that we can fully throw all our money at the one debt.

Anyways here is my 1st June balance for the mortgage £85,814.57 my MFiT number is 173

I apologise for being late with this. Thanks to all who contribute to this thread. Especially ofcourse to Financial Bliss and Maz.

Been absent from MSE for a few days - I'll check and update the charts with the latest balances this evening if anyone has supplied one recently.

Qick reminder - must easier to find your figures if you supply an update via the form - means we don't have to scan through this thread.

    Thanks,
    FB.

    No:131 checking in

Due to receiving a lump sum refund on an overseas house purchase, we have managed to make a large overpayment, and our balance stands at just over £69,000 :j

Considering our original target was to get down to £85,000 in 3 years, we would now like to clear our mortgage at the end of this challenge, which is also the end of our fixed rate date.
I lurk more than post, but wanted to thank all the posters for your inspiration and motivation
