I got badly caught out by a bit of a financial crisis last month and very, very nearly went down this road but decided against paying an administration fee for a personal loan - thankfully.
Why are these guys still advertising? Has everyone here complained? Contacted Watchdog? Did anyone ever get their loan?:silenced:0 -
I have also have been conned by these rodents.4 weeks i applied for a £1000 loan and was promised if i paid the £49.50 .that the money would be in my account within 5 days,??? You know the rest.i phoned this morning stating that they havent helped me,and would like my £49.50 put back into my account.a lauren anderson told me that we will put my details to someone else and see if they can get me a loan, i said no thanks.just credit my account with my money.she said we dont give money back,we just keep trying.so i said just cancel the loan and give me my money back, she said you dont get m any money back for canceling either.
Can anyone help me put a letter together so i can send to them to get my money back.as i would,nt no what to write.:(0 -
I have been lucky enough to get my money back from these fraudsters although it was £10 light due to '£5 card handling fee' & £5 admin fee (of course, not mentioned in the original phone call!). After the initial confirmation that I would have my loan within a week I went through the process of phoning Cash Finance Direct' (another scam) & not one company that phoned me were able to help. It took me 4 letters to get my call charges back from CFD as I also had to send them a copy of my phone bill. To get any kind of refund from TCP, you have to spend a further £4 obtaining copies of your credit report from both Experian & Equifax & then forward them on along with your letter from CFD to TCP. They say they will contact you within 5 working days but I had to ring them to find out what was happening & was greeted by a girl with the telephone manner of a sullen kid who'd had her nintendo DS taken away from her! She was no help with any of my questions, instead just telling me that all this info had been sent out to me & I should read that. Ladies & Gents, I cannot stress enough that no matter how much you need the money DO NOT even contemplate using this company. I'm still getting calls now, over 4 months later, from people offering to help me. Remember, everytime you apply for credit it appears on your report & affects your score, making things even worse, so don't do it.0

My wife received a telephone call from these people today claiming she had applied online for a loan of £2000 and would she call a freephone number to confirm the details and they then would be able to get her the money in a matter of days. She had not applied at all so how they got her name and number is quite worrying. We quickly came here to see if this company was suspicious so it now appears they are cold calling people too.
Be aware of these scammers.0 -
I too am Reading this after paying the admin fee, why havnt the oft taken these people down yet, I cudnt believe the panic I was feelin reading this thread.
I had commited to a financial agreement on the basis of this loan, now I have to find the money elsewhere and that will most likely prove imposible now.
They have targeted the poorest people aswell, I think it's sick that they have been allowed to get away with this for so long.0 -
does everyone want to knwo why the fee is just below £50? as if it was over £50 you could take them to a small claims court
so there's your warning.
you CAN claim it back though, just send them a letter stating you want a refund, and require them to do so within 7 working days or you will take further action. and they will. works a charm0 -

Hiya - I've also been scammed by this company, paid the £49.50 admin fee after being told the loan I applied for would be in my bank by the end of the week - got nothing in the bank, so rang them up - didnt get through. Got a letter stating I'd been declined by the company they'd originally found for me blah blah blah - wanted me to ring another no. (0906 one) to speak to someone else. Still got nothing, so got the main number for them - rung up twice now trying to get the admin fee back - number is 0844 5449290 - hopefully they will finally realise that I'm not going to be stupid enough to fall for their rubbish (even though I have once already!) :mad:0

Everyone scammed by this company should be phoning Consumer Direct on 08454 040506 and asking to make a complaint to Devon Trading Standards.0
