I have treid to copy her but am not as fastidious as her. When she hangs stuff up to dry she shakes it, shapes it and hangs it up carefully. I tend to bung it on and then iron later. Seriously she doesn't iron a thing!
Nor do I, and I dont have a td either( perhaps I am your friend
) in fact I chucked my ironing board out, like your friend I take the clothes out of the machine the second it has finished, shake it really well before hanging it on the line and shape it, I never iron at all, life is too short :T

Thank you so much for all the tips - and the chuckles, you all obviously understand where I am coming from - even if a few of you are going quietly insane and enjoy ironing (only joking!).
My husband used to do the ironing but since his workload has increased it has been shifted back to me.
Gigervamp - the trick with the TD is seriously not too overfill it. The clothes need space to move around quite freely - then hey presto, crease free clothes :T
Will try not filling my washing machine so much - I always try and make the most of a load but I won't if it means ironing
Perhaps smaller loads might help with making use of the radiators too. I do use them but always have far too much washing to dry.
Thanks0 -
How about putting them underneath your mattress while you sleep then in the morning....hey presto!!!I hate migraines.0

haven't ironed anything except occasional shirt / trousers in ages i dry it either on line or on clothes horse then bung it all in the tumble drier for 10 minutes making sure it is on warm or hot and not on the cool down period take it out as soon as it stops or before if i've got lots and can put anything still damp back in and fold immmediatley don't over fill and don't leave at anytime after them being warm to folding - even dried all dear g/daughters clothes this way without the need for ironing them last winter.vic0

This would probably work really well - I am trying to lose weight at the moment so this must be the silver lining to that cloud :rotfl: Very, very OS too
Hmmm, must see if there is a slimmers thread on here - I would love to see other people's weekly meal plans. I love cooking (too much ... that's my problem )haven't ironed anything except occasional shirt / trousers in ages i dry it either on line or on clothes horse then bung it all in the tumble drier for 10 minutes making sure it is on warm or hot and not on the cool down period take it out as soon as it stops or before if i've got lots and can put anything still damp back in and fold immmediatley don't over fill and don't leave at anytime after them being warm to folding - even dried all dear g/daughters clothes this way without the need for ironing them last winter.
Thanks, what a good idea - hadn't thought of that :T . I have a very clever dryer that has sensors to check how dry the clothes are so that if they are dry before the program finishes, it will stop. Very OS but a pain in that you can't just put it on a particular heat for 20 mins etc. Will have to check the manual - there must be a way round it?0 -

I used to iron everything, well almost. Now having got fed up with nice neatly ironed t shirts getting all crumpled in kids & OH drawers I only iron OH shirts for work. I now only do about half an hour a week instead of every day.
As others have said a good shake & fold up neatly & there fine.0 -
Buy M&S non-iron shirts. They really work.0
