Lakeland - always have nice kitchen goodies and are super helpful with fantastic customer service.

They are wonderful, I have never experienced such good service. When I wanted to return/exchange an item, they just sent me the new one and said to take the old one to my nearest charity shop. Very impressive.
  • Id like to see Miller Bros survive, very sad if they end up finished as well.

    Barclays (friend works for them)

Laura Ashley (not that chintzy nowadays! Got some gorgeous cushions and a lamp from them for xmas)

    Ebay firms

    Waitrose

    John Lewis

    M and S

Curtains on line - In fact I'm going to give them some free advertising. If you can measure your windows yourself you get perfect made to measure curtains and Roman blinds at reasonable prices and beautifully made. Customer care is the best I've experienced anywhere. They're based in Ireland. It would be such a shame if they went to the wall.
  • The Laura Ashley stuff was actually a present from my dad and not Laura Ashley...
  • I would be lost without Fat Face, John Lewis, Next, Clarks and Sainsbury's

As in a previous post I'd like to keep all our manufacturing & exporting companies that bring money in to the country. I'd also like to have all our utility companies either owned or majority owned by the UK so we couldn't be held to ransom......! I'd also like to see our exporters use freight companies/airlines where the profits come back to the UK too - ah well I can dream!!
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
  • I would like to see everyone survive. One chain or independant shuts and it has a domino effect no matter how big or small the company.
