Hmmmm obviously all the small businesses and manufacturing but in terms of big names I'd be distraught if any of the following went:

Oasis (although I know this isn't looking too good apparently - but I'd have NOWHERE to buy clothes from!!!!!)

    Mango
    John Lewis
    Sainsbury's
    Jones the Bootmaker
Everything will be ok in the end, if everything's not ok then it's not the end :)

Shame on the supermarkets for taking away all small business in our area actually! But its true...they can't compete when milk is 1/4 price in the supermarkets :( poor old milk men.

You must have some incredibly cheap supermarkets round your way!

Sad, but they couldn't compete. I gave up delivered milk when it arrived later and later and ended up sitting on the doorstep getting warm and going off before I could pick it up on my return from work (that was when it didn't get nicked).

This is where the reliable service bit comes in. Our milkman delivers 3 mornings a week in our area, at 5am in the morning. Without fail. So the milk is on the doorstep when we get up for work, and never sits outside getting warm through the day.

The only time (once!) when it was later in the day I was so shocked I rang up the dairy to find out what had gone wrong. The nice woman apologised profusely, and told me that the milk float had been vandalised on the round, so they had had to send out another one when it had returned from the early round. And I still had my milk by 9.45am.

I don't think being a bit late once in nearly 13 years is a bad record!
