- Hotter Shoes (British made fab comfortable shoes, and the best customer service ever)
- Waitrose (not at all MSE, but love their food and ethos)
- Ocado (Waitrose delivery service - brilliant)
- My milkman (Diary Crest - great service, he delivers everything from Christmas turkeys in the winter and garden compost in the summer, and is totally reliable)
- Salamander - a small local shop(s) where I live where they sell really nice gift items, and then stand and wrap them up for you for free! I hate wrapping presents, so I love this shop!

This is what will sort the good from the bad imo.0 -

Sad, but they couldn't compete. I gave up delivered milk when it arrived later and later and ended up sitting on the doorstep getting warm and going off before I could pick it up on my return from work (that was when it didn't get nicked).0 -

I guess with that list I come across as classless, oh well!

Shame on the supermarkets for taking away all small business in our area actually! But its true...they can't compete when milk is 1/4 price in the supermarketsSad, but they couldn't compete. poor old milk men.
I also wouldn't like amazon to go, as I love it!
HMV stores might have to sort their lives out with their prices otherwise they'll be following zavvi. HMV online is so much cheaper, why don't they make their store prices that cheap??

good call on the walkers crisps. rarely eat this type of snack but when I do it's got to be walkers.1.Majestic Wine
2. OddBins
3. Threshers
4. Walkers Crisps
5. Freshers Foods (makers of Pork Scratchings)
meanwhile, Royal Mail. I get a little irritated when the press squeal about another 3p/similar being placed on the cost of a 1st class stamp. delivery from one end of the country to the other for peanuts.
on the other hand, we could sell it to TNT/similar and pay by the mile. email would then finish surface mail off altogether.
a national asset worth keeping.0
