I hope LA dont fail. I've just ordered some new furniture from them. Its the Balmoral range, a bookcase,a nest of tables and a tv unit. I love their stuff, nearly all my furniture is from them, the beds, the sofas, rugs, kitchen table and chairs etc. and all my curtins are made out of LA material.
Is it styled after the furniture in the Queens house?

.Mango in Leicester appears to have died.

    .
How do you mean? Low on stock?

AFAIAA, Mango only operate as a franchise in the UK. Mango co only own Bluewater (1st store to open) and Oxford St. Neither make serious money...just cover costs. They are the presence to entice franchise ''partners''.
The margin that the franchise is offerred is no way near enough to cover shopping centre rents. Mango just act as a wholesaler really.

We had a Mango franchise open in Brighton. It was part of a group of 3 (2 in London) run by a wealthy individual who bore the name of an iconic sports brand...that's where the family £££ came from.

She paid way too much rent (and helped me lose my last rent review) but it was busy busy. It killed our sales for around 6 months, then we benefitted from the footfall it brought to our end of town. It also killed off 3 indie boutiques....which also helped my sales figs. It was a benefit to our end of town in the end.

3 years later, it shut down in Sept 07 (and is still empty). We then had the best October EVER as we shared a similar customer base, they popped into us anyway and spent loads......then Zara opened in Nov....and it was all back to normal.

Don't know about economic inflation, think this is more about inflated ego

Got any pictures (of you that is - we've seen some of your fantasies). I'd like to know what a real Liverpudlian stud looks like. :D

and Matalan cos my hubby works there a couple of nights a week to help pay the bills
  • Hopefully the coming depression will improve customer service in this country, something which has really taken a nose-dive in recent years imho. Probably because of a fall in wages, taking into account inflation.
  • I hope Dominoes Pizza survives! Especially my local branch.

I could not live without it.
  • Well I do not want to see any company fail really, with the exception of Foxtons who typify everything that was bad about the last few years.
