I wouldn't worry for too much longer, they are likley to be a casualty in the next few weeks.
I'm really not comfortable with the primark thing."An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".

I guess with that list I come across as classless, oh well!

I hope LA dont fail. I've just ordered some new furniture from them. Its the Balmoral range, a bookcase,a nest of tables and a tv unit. I love their stuff, nearly all my furniture is from them, the beds, the sofas, rugs, kitchen table and chairs etc. and all my curtins are made out of LA material."The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0

I've just been to www.advfn.com looking at LA shares and comparing like with like in the retail sector. LA dont look to be in terribly bad shape. they do have creditors but also lots of assets.
Debenhams, Topps Tiles,Carpet Right, HMV Carphone warehouse and Dignity dont look very healthy to me though."The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0 -
My list of shops/companies with brilliant service I really wouldn't want to see fail:
- Hotter Shoes (British made fab comfortable shoes, and the best customer service ever)
- Waitrose (not at all MSE, but love their food and ethos)
- Ocado (Waitrose delivery service - brilliant)
- My milkman (Diary Crest - great service, he delivers everything from Christmas turkeys in the winter and garden compost in the summer, and is totally reliable)
- Salamander - a small local shop(s) where I live where they sell really nice gift items, and then stand and wrap them up for you for free! I hate wrapping presents, so I love this shop!

Every little Etsy/Ebid/Ebay one person business. Every penny going to keeping someone in (self) employment and out of the Jobcentre. God bless 'em.0

HSBC.
I doubt they will but if they do then we're all ****ed! Plus they haven't had to take the government's money so I guess they must have been doing something right.0
