    Hi Chaps

I have been using this courier for the last 2 months. They have been very reliable, and their UK delivery services is the cheapest around.

Flat rate £7 inclusive of VAT for up 20kg. The nearest company around is parcel2go.

Their European price starts from £9.99. I have used them a few occassions to post to Western Europe and once to Eastern Europe, and everything went smoothly. This is a new company, and is web based only. They have said they are upgrading their website by August, as the only thing missing now is that you cannot print the label directly from the webiste at the moment, but I am sure they are addressing this issue.

There's a flat rate of £20 for up to 30KG for Europe EURO 48 Service (mind you it may take longer than 48 hours though)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Here we go.

  • your first ever post is a "no comment" !!! wow

My first comment was actually a pricing list for Armitage but it was removed. I replied on another forum.

Hi - thanks, yes I can find lot's of couriers that can help - but I need an am (i.e. 8am to midday) pickup, and in order to find out whether they do (or don't which has been my experience up to now....) I have to go through registration, entering details, etc.... Thanks.

If you book direct with UPS you can specifiy collection before 1pm but it's a bit pricier than via the resellers.

    Guys..

I have sold a item on ebay, it went for £1000, I only charged £20 for delivery, but looking at all the online companies I see they charge a packet to upgrade the insurance to £1000???

Any way round this, or should I not bother with insurance???

how good at parcel machine at dealing with failed collections?

DHL didn't turn up yesterday. Parcel machine close before DHL cut off time. Parcel machine insist you email them. I emailed at 5.31pm. They promise a 6hr turn around on emails, but with a 12pm cut off for booking deliveries, that doesn't guarentee they chase my collection if parcel machine open at 9am.

    Any positive experiences to reassure?

  • I am trying to ship a fairly large package: 55 lbs (25 kilograms) 28" (71 centimeters) length x 24" (61 centimeters) width x 13" (33 centimeters) depth from Seattle, WA USA (postal code 98122) to Burwood, New South Wales, Australia (postal code 2134), and I would like insurance on the parcel for $1,000 USD (if possible). The parcel is too large to be shipped via USPS Priority Mail service (the package size exceeds the 79" length + girth limitation for USPS Priority Mail parcels to Australia), and USPS Express Mail Guaranteed, DHL, UPS, & FedEx are all quoting me $450 to $600 USD to ship the parcel !!!! Does anyone know of a fairly expedient (up to 10-14 days would be acceptable) carrier/method for me to ship this package to/from the above outlined locations, for a reasonable price/cost (less than $450 USD) ? Any help at all, would be fabulous - Thank you - Rabindranath Darling - Mobile: #206/335-0980 - email: rtdarling@mac.com

"The charge that you have incurred is for the redelivery of this item. As the parcel went out on a standard service with the DHL Service this means they will attempt delivery once."

Luckily I barely ever use them now.

Can anyone tell me if Interparcel's £17.10+vat is the best rate to Jersey (for 14kg). Many carriers seem to excluse JE and GU postcodes.
    Thanks

DHL have tried to deliver a parcel for me three times. The second and third times were after discussion with the recipient about when would be a good time to deliver.

However she wasn't home again today. What will they do next?
