Hi, thanks but that is in inches. in cm its 99 x 66 x43 - basically all wrapping!

Hmmm, well you are within (just) the size criteria of the resellers (most = 1m max length) so I can only think it's the value of the item

I've sent aluminium Zimmer frames with Royal Mail. ~They do not or did not go on size only weight. This Zimmers weighed just under 2kg so went as a parcel for about £3.50 about three years ago. I wrapped bubble wrap around the individual legs and so it went as an open frame if you follow. I had 10 and all were delivered no problems. We all had a good laugh at the local village post office whenever i took one in.

Many thanks Kay. Ive just taken off the boxing and put it in a large sack! with bubble wrap round the handles. Im going to take it up to the village post office (hopefully more flexible :)) and see if they will accept it.

Strapped, no all the sites said it was too big :(

Did you try payperparcel? I sent a long package with them recently - think they go to 1.2m.

Many thanks guys - in the end I removed all the boxing and took it up in a sort of plastic weave sack with the bubble wrap on the handles. I wrote the address in marker pen on the front, stood in post office with fingers crossed, they lifted it over the counter, weighed it and said £12.99 for Monday or Tuesday delivery.

Many thanks for all your input, most appreciated.

Good to see a courier with cashback but they seem very expensive.

Unfortunately many (not all) companies who give cashback over charge in the first place. It surprises me how many people they manage to con.
