Cheap Parcel Delivery Thread Mk4

One for my avoid list would have to be CityLink - I have never had experience of being their customer, but from my experiences as a receipient, I am definately not impressed - Late (2 days) some no-shows, "attempted" deliveries with no notification... I'm sure you get the idea...
My heart sinks everytime I find that my eBay or e-store purchase is arriving (or not) via them.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure.0 -
All my Amazon prime orders come via City Link and they are always delivered on time without problems, you can get bad areas with all couriers i guess.0

I don't know if Freightsearch have gone down hill due to overwork caused by this post. However their service is completely useless.
I have used them twice so far, and the first time they didn't pass on the collection details to the courier properly, so the collection was messed up, then cancelled. So Ihad to get them to re-book it. The second time it was a complete nightmare to actually speak to someone, but eventually I got a call back after 3 days.
I called them again two weeks ago, but didn't get a call back. So I called another two times, and eventually got a call back on Wednesday evening with a promise to call me again on Thursday when they had more details. Yet again I didn't get a call back, so I have phoned them yet again this morning (Friday), only to be told yet again that I will get a call back.
I don't know how big the company is, but when you try to call them all you get is a receptionist who will take a message. It appears that they only have a couple of people on the phones to call you back, so a lot of the time they just don't bother.
Does anyone have a direct number for them that bypasses reception?0 -
wait for it, you'll be told you don't understand how courier companies work if you dare to suggest a recommended company aren't actually very good !:grouphug:

I know exactly how they work.........usually very poorly in my experience. This is why most of the time we use our own transport, and only use couriers if we really really have to.0 -
sorry i was referring to the fact that when I had nothing but bad experiences with SaleTrack i was told it must be because i don't know how courier companies work.
i start my degree on this subject next term.:grouphug:

Obviously yes. How dare I expect good service :rotfl:
Seriously though. I used Freightsearch because they were recommended on MSE. I have given them three chances, and they just can't get it right. If they were reliable I could put a lot of work their way
I really think that recommendations for them on MSE should be removed, as it can't just be bad luck on my part. So it is starting to look more like advertising than recommending a good service.0 -
i certainly think negative reports of services should be more welcomed, otherwise yes it does become more of an advertising thread for 1 or 2 services which people would like to make out are flawless.:grouphug:
