Thanks, I arranged it all on that website, they collected my parcel on thursday at approx 4pm and by 2pm on friday (the next day) it was delivered. I was amazed with the service, that was over 120 miles for less than £9 and within less than 24 hours. This was first time I've just a courier and with service like that they'll be getting all my parcels in the future.Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass,it's about learning to dance in the rain.0 -

True. But if you personally send a lot of items to Europe regularly, and you can get approval for your own parcelforce account with parcelforce, you can get flat rate europe rates. Skip the resellers and go direct.
If they're chasing the new accounts, during these tough times, and pulling away from the resellers, you may well find that the account rates that they can offer you direct may well be improving.
It used to be around 50 items per month on European service to get these cheap flat rates. I remember being amazed that I could send Lloyd Loom Chairs, packaged and boxed, out to France for something like £8. It definitely lets you expand your selling market.
DPD road rates are also very good, but again, you need to go to either DPD direct, or one of the rare proper resellers that can give you proper account rates.0 -
Are freightsearch any good at ensuring failed collections get picked up the next day?
DHl didn't collect today, took to DHL depot who had no record of the parcel.
Rang freightsearch who said they'd send an email before the end of the working day confirming collection for tomorrow.
No email as yet-wondered if I they're the sort of company you need to chase several times before they do what they say they will.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Hi,
I have a fishing rod to post, it is a solid plastic case and is 190cm x 25cm x 25cm and approx 7KG
Can anyone recomend a cheap courier? I have been quoted over £25 and only charged the ebay buyer £10:beer:0 -
You need to find a parcel carrier that will take up to 2m on standard parcel service. Try Parcelforce, they used to do 2m max length.
Most of the others are down to 1.2m now, and anything over that is freight - hence the jump in price. Don't bother trawling through the DHL reseller websites because they'll be on a 1.2m maximum.0 -
Parcelforce through paypal?
