I'm new to this buisness so please be gentle! I will need to post several kitchen cabinets (21kg). Royal Mail (parcel force) cost £25!!!! so was thinking of using one of the cheaper collection/delivery people like parcel2go @ circa £7. Only trouble is that i'm out all day in the week and could be anywhere during the day. So i was thinking of evening or saturday collection. or dropping it off at the courier myself. Anyone know what my best option is. I live at a B31 postcode. I went on the live chat of parcel2go and they couldnt offer a service suitable and i dont wanna cart the goods to the post office on saturday and pay £25. Not sure how to search which company has the closest depot either?

you can forget saturday collections and you are unlikely to get an evening collection
why not phone your local courier and ask if you had a prebooked collection if they would allow you to drop it off

With some companies, you can leave stuff outside (labelled) ready for collection and you don't need to be there. Depends where you live whether you want to do this though! Esp with several kitchen cabinets! (I live in the middle of nowehere with a covered porch so am happy to do this but wouldn't recommend it in most instances).

Hi itsmeagain, I was in the same position as you and was looking for a courier company to collect and deliver some alloy wheels for me. I had a look on ebay and there were a few courier companys that collected on a sat. If you PM me I can try and point you in the right direction!

I use this company YouSellWeDeliver and they use parcelforce for either 24 or 48 and are £8.99 (48) and £9.99 (24) but you can drop it off at your local parcelforce depo if you wish. I have done this many times as lucky for me the depo is right by my work so its alot easier than sitting in all day.

They use to sell on ebay but that was pulled

if you want to contact them its yousellwedeliver@aol.com (i'm NOT related to this company at all just passing off my good experiences with them)

Your nearest PF depo is

BIRMINGHAM DEPOT
UNIT 1 PAVILION DRIVE
HOLFORD

^If you want their services to hang around I wouldn't mention their details, as to be selling parcelforce at those prices it they wont be using a re-seller account. So if parcelforce get a whiff of it they will close the account in a instant.

Personally I have no problem with them doing it, as long as they provide a good service which by the sounds of it they do. :)

Evening all

https://www.directparceldistribution.com which as most know vanished at the end of last year owing money left right and centre (me included and I still haven't seen a refund)

Well their site which vanished (well it was blank), someone is playing with code etc for it as there is a dimension table etc appearing - using the same Mr Site software they used before.

Low Cost Parcel Delivery is also using Mr Site software

Mmmmmm.........
• Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a reliable yet cheap courier service. I want to send an item which weighs around 20kg from Liverpool to South Wales. I have looked at various couriers but not sure of their reliability. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

My recommendation would be https://www.freightsearch.com/.
Or Express Packages for a personal service.

And if you are a regular sender have a look at SaleTrack, prices range from £4-5.75.
• Thank you ArmitageShanks for replying, I will look into the couriers that you have suggested.:T
