Cheap Parcel Delivery Thread Mk4

Also, I've read a lot about making sure the item is well packaged etc. Would this still apply to a sofabed? I mean, it can't really be put in a box!
Thanks

You don't have to box it as such, but it would be advisable to wrap it in polythene.
I would ask for extra because it will be a lot more expensive. Invoice them by way of a paypal money request.wheresmydoshat wrote: »i've had my first ever order from someone in jersey. they've paid standard uk courier delivery, but where to i stand as obviously the courier is going to be more expensive ?
should they have requested shipping costs ? always a bit careful not to offend with these type of orders, so want to check before i tell them they need to pay more !
In terms of cost, I would try parcelforce through paypal (doubtful whether jersey's covered). Otherwise have look on ebay £15-£18. Saletrack don't do jersey.0 -
Hi,
I have just purchased some alloy wheels off ebay and the seller has said that I can arrange a courier but has asked for the driver to ring him before he arrives so he can drive home from work(10 mins drive). I presume that none of the mainstream couriers will do this?
I'd put it on shiply.com and see if anyone will do it.0 -
I'm trying to get hold of boxes (cardboard or tough plastic) that have the dimensions 76cm x 54cm x 30cm but it's proving near impossible. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks0

Ordering is quick enough (ok you do have to type the addresses in) with only a couple fo questions about the parcel. No volumetric calculation stuff here! As long as it is under the max weight and size its done. £7.50 all in for 48Hr. Bargain.
Initial confidence can be low - You dont get any emails, other than paypal payment, and no confirmation/tracking details until the selected courier turns up and collects but touch wood its fine. Definately worth a look, and no I dont work for them/have any connection with them. Just felt it worth giving credit where its due.
I am going to give this a go!0 -
If they're not careful their web address will be filtered out, just in the same way parcel cheap is.

I send lots of large parcels and use various sellers.....whoever offers the best deal and whoever accepts the largest size. Not a spammer at all ...quite happy for you to remove their name if that is what you want to do, I have nothing to lose or gain either way.0 -
morning,
need a bit of insight into what people do regarding insurance please.
with larger items over £100 what is my best bet, as the smaller items i would send special delivery.
this is the only type of item i am struggling to come up with a way of sending. saletrack suggested i use a 3rd party insurance company but i have no experience of this.:grouphug:
