Anyone know of any cheap rates for 10kgs to Norway.

Interparcel is almost 50 quid including VAT and I've not found cheaper.

I've had a phone call from Freightsearch. They are moving from DHL home delivery driver collections to DHL international driver collections and my order got lost between the two. They have promised to collect tomorrow and upgrade me from 2 day to 1 day service. They say service should be better with the "proper" DHL. I confirm when its collected but it looks like Freightsearch are still good guys.

Just want to say that, I am astonished.
Out of the blue, I've received a full refund from Direct Parcel Distribution for my pre Christmas booking to Greece, which never materialised.

An email, at the time, would have helped, but hey, I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth!
Startlingly good news and equally surprising.:T

Other people have reported the same thing. Strange as all re-sellers are apparently crooks.

Nice if they can sort something out on FedEx front, we got another bill through yesterday. (:

If whoever now owns them is reading this, if you sort out the refunds which you appear to be doing/have done and sort the FedEx fiasco out, I'll happily take you off the avoid list.

    http://www.transglobal.org.uk/get_quote.asp may be cheaper.

    But Norway's always expensive.
  • There is no VAT on shipments to Norway. Depending on the size of the shipment and whether its to a private or business address the best I know of is £40.00 all in! Maybe cheaper if I knew where the collection was from.

So what eventually has happened with DPD FedEx bills?

Well ours which grew well into four figures yesterday when a second bill came through is sitting in the out goings tray, though they will never actually go out. FedEx said a couple of weeks ago the invoices are on hold pending a review, haven't anything back yet. Trading Standards have also said fedex can't lump at bill at the feet of a uncontracted party, so we'll see what happens.

What I can say is if FedEx do pursue it, they should expect some negative press. Which is a shame becasue they're service is excellent.

    Hi all,

I just wanted to ask what the score is with "interlink express"? I have a parcel coming via them today and am impressed with the updates etc that you get and as I can't seem to see any mention on the threads thought i'd ask are they one to avoid or are they okay?

I've been ripped off by ukcourier express and ppw so far and am now in the mindset that sending anything via courier means if it goes wrong you may aswell face the loss out your own pocket and you just get ignored/they dont pay.

I'm starting my plant shipping season now and want a reliable service (got baby 2 arriving in a few weeks i've got enough on my plate!)

I'd be very grateful for any repies and want to thank everyone for doing these threads especially armitage!

Hi -Freightsearch still good. my parcel was collected by DHL as promised so yesterdays hiccup was just a coincidence with exwoolworths experience and i am happy to reccomend Freightsearch as they responded straight away to the problem . The reason they gave was genuine as it was the DHL driver who usually collects my international parcels rather than the home delivery DHL driver who came today to collect his one.

Interlink are fine like almost all couriers. The big problems occur when things go wrong with re-sellers, like in the case ppw.

Unfortunately unless you will be sending enough to justify having a direct account with them, the only place you can get their services is through interparcel where it will cost around £12/parcel.

If you want good service and reasonable price, have a look at UPS which is again available through interparcel, but this time for only £6.99+vat.

Good news. Even in this industry there is room for a little faith!
