Cheap Parcel Delivery Thread Mk4

@ Armi, I'm pretty sure Interparcel are now cheapest for Italy (damn you Airmail max dimensions, damn my ignorance of then...
). Anyway, I just got £15.20 + VAT = £17.48 for DHL Europlus. That's after my account based 5% off, but before quidco's 5%, so quidco users can get essentially the same price.

I used use Interparcel and still use them occasionally, had few parcels damaged but company always pays compensation if the parcel is insured, highest they paid was £350. They have an insurance cover up to £1000 but you need to check with them if your goods are covered or not.
Alternatively simply use Parcel Force
we used fastway couriers last year for 3 months. We lost 5 parcels. They are not expensive parcels. We went through the compensation procedures and never get any response. Finally I give up.
The another problem is they only have one driver covering my area. If the driver is ill or have an accident, then nobody will collect my parcels.
Finally they only have delivery confirmation online. You can not track your parcels actually and you can not see who sign the parcels. You need to call them to check everytime. Sometimes if you have a chargeback by paypal for expensive parcels, paypal will need to see the signature in 7 days. You need to ask them to fax the signature to you. It usually take a few days. This is not convenient.
Fastway runs by Franchises in different locations. Offering good or bad services are really depend on your local Franchise. I guess that's why some people feel they are good and some people feel not.0 -
creditcrunchy wrote: »Please don't rely on advice from Ludwip.www.fastwaycouriers.co.uk was a lazy recommendation based on nothing more than a quick Internet search. Ludwip uses Interparcel who are a good company, however that's about the only bit of sense you will get from him. If you compare all the couriers DPD allow the greatest volume for a standard parcel so they are your best bet if you want to save money. Parcelcheap offer DPD service at the cheapest rate, they will insure you up to £1000 for an extra £6 but you have to email them to get this added to your order. If your parcel volume is over 0.5 cubic meters then www.parceldrop.co.uk or www.interparcel.com probably offer the best deals available.
Please don't risk sending without insurance just in case your parcel gets lost. Rely on your own packaging rather than damage insurance as majority of the time the courier will only payout if a parcel is lost. Be aware your parcel is more likely to be damaged & insurance invalidated if you send parcels that are over the max allowed size. Also be aware Parcelforce insurance does not cover antiques that are more than 100 years old.

Thanks for another rude post crunchy. So I'm not only a puppet but also lazy. How will you call me next time?
I'm not the first one recommending them here. deanos recommended them before I did

They seem to have very low rates plus they are not resellers but courier franchise.
Unlike you crunchy, I read other guys posts and try to learn from their experience instead of keep forcing own agenda.

creditcrunchy wrote: »the price will depend on your parcel dimensions, volume & how much insurance you require. I think it will be cheaper to send two parcels at 20kg each. Here is a list of the current best offers:
parcel2go = £7.81 for DHL 1-3 day with £50 insurance, printer required
100cm max length, 25kg max weight, 0.14 cubic meters max volume
price for same day collection is £8.04, above price if you book 1 day in advance.
payperparcel = £7.99 for DHL 1-3 day with £100 insurance, printer required
120cm max length, 30kg max weight, 0.17 cubic meters max volume
p4d = £8.04 for DHL 1-2 day with £50 insurance,
120cm max length, 30kg max weight, 0.18 cubic meters max volume
shippingmanager = £8.04 for DHL 1-2 day with £50 insurance,
120cm max length, 30kg max weight, 0.18 cubic meters max volume
interparcel = £8.04 for UPS 1-2 day with £50 insurance,
250cm max length, 30kg max weight, 0.14 cubic meters max volume, printer required
parcelcheap = £9.50 for DPD next day with £100 insurance,
200cm max length, 30kg max weight, 0.5 cubic meters max volume
www.parcel2go.com have the cheapest standard rate with a DHL 1-3 day service if you book 1 day in advance. The cheapest for same day collection is payperparcel. You have to print labels to use the parcel2go & payperparcel service. Shippingmanager offer a 2.5% discount if you pay by bank transfer so that would make the price £7.84. Parcelcheap use next day DPD & except parcels up to 200cm in length & a max volume of 0.5 cubic meters. Payperparcel except parcels with a length greater than 120cm but the price increases to £15.97.

Why Parcelcheap is on the list if their services are far more expensive than others?:money:0 -

If Shamilt1 had booked with fastwaycouriers then it could have been a disaster. I’m just trying to make you think before you waste any more space on this thread.I'm not the first one recommending them here. deanos recommended them before I did

If this was true then you wouldn’t ask me repetitive questions that I’ve already answered. You should only recommend a company based on your own experience unless there is a lot of positive feedback to back it up.Why Parcelcheap is on the list if their services are far more expensive than others?
Parcelcheap offer next day DPD for £9.50 & allow dimension & volume that are much greater than anyone else. They offer the cheapest guaranteed next day delivery & that’s why they are included on the list.0 -

They are not cheapest I'm afraid and their dimensions are not greater than anyone else neither.
If someone is on VAT than Interparcel Titan is much better option with their next day service and dimensions greater than what Parclelcheap can offer, for someone holding an account with them and booked through Quidco next day delivery with TNT would come to £8.55 for a parcel and if you send more than one parcel to the same address they offer additional discount. Interparcel are genuine reseller and Parcelcheap with their dodgy website definitely aren't.creditcrunchy wrote: »If this was true then you wouldn’t ask me repetitive questions that I’ve already answered. Some more opinions my dear crunchy

And where is lots of positive feedback on Parcelcheap? :rotfl:0 -
So tell me crunchy what disaster it could have been?
Your response proves your ignorance & confirms why people should not rely on your advice. Maybe you should read the recent post by Desert regarding Fastwaycouriers & then you might realise why recommending them to Shamilt1 was a potential disaster.
As you don’t seem to understand how parcel volume can affect the price I will give you an example.
If you had a parcel with dimensions 120cm,60cm,60cm & tried to book it with Interparcel Titan the price would be £62.32 + VAT. Parcelcheap only charge £9.50 for a parcel delivery with the same dimensions. Parcelcheap allow a volume of 0.5 cubic meters for their standard delivery which is much greater than the other companies. This means you can send parcels that have greater dimensions for much less.
Parcelcheap use a guaranteed next day DPD service. The standard UPS service Interparcel offer is a 1-2 day service so isn’t guaranteed. If you want a guaranteed next day UPS service it will cost you a lot more. Regardless of VAT, Parcelcheap still offer the cheapest guaranteed next day service.
Some more opinions my dear crunchy

And where is lots of positive feedback on Parcelcheap?
The majority of feedback for Fastwaycouriers is far from positive. I’m not going to waste time quoting the unhappy customers but based on what I’ve read I wouldn’t go near them let alone recommend them. Maybe next time you should read past comments before giving a recommendation. I can say from experience that Parcelcheap provide a good service as do all the companies I’ve recommended.
Ludwip please put your brain into gear & think before posting. If you have nothing useful to say then don’t waste any more space.0 -
Hi all,
Looking for a bit of advice for a parcel to Republic of Ireland. It is quite heavy approx. 80kg and a non uniform size, probably looking for a pallet I suppose.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated....0 -

Both offer pallet services, you'll have to contact for a quote. You'll need delivery postcode and dimensions. There are different sized pallets, of which prices also differ depending on height.0 -

You only give examples in favour of Parcelcheap. When the parcel is 200x20x20 cm you can use Interparcel and their Titan service. For the parcels 230x30x30 cm you can use UPS economy and pay only . How about that my dear Crunchy?
1. UPS usually deliver it within the one working day just like Parcelcheap
2. It's nearly £2 less than with Parcelcheap.
3. Parcelchep doesn't accept parcels 230 cm long.
4. Interparcel is the company you can trust. You can call them, you know their address and you can see terms and conditions of sale while Parcelcheap is far behind all they have is dodgy website :rotfl:
Your recommendations just don't make any sense Crunchy :money:
You should check the first page I thinkArmitageShanks wrote: »11

You are right I can make mistakes and may know much less than some people here but I'm really trying to help if I can as I'm not promoting my own business like you Crunchy.
You can be rude and smear me for as long as you like but posting false information and spamming here definitely won't help your company my friend someone will eventually ban you sooner or later.0
