But I really know what you mean about enjoying the hard-done-by better, its often the long term of family politics thats important! I hope you've got knitting or a couple of books or something

Can't wait for house, i was going to cancel Sky this month and then they do this..but everyone is chipping in £5 a month so i suppose that all helps. They were really shocked when i said it was going..weird what they cling to ( says me who really wanted it to stop so i could watch house and Sci fi) But i put a brave face on and was prepared to sacrifice.

Cup of tea? Petrol offer would have been nice.lol.

:think: Hmmm knitting/reading while driving.......perhaps not. Though I'd rather be doing either.

AND I'll have to put the air-con on for that length of trip with 2 of us. I have become so mean about such things since MSE :rotfl:I pride myself on 350 miles per tankful........

Other MS ways that have, I think, made me cantankerous to live with:

1. How can one person use SO MUCH bluddy toilet roll?????? eg Lodger, DD, boss's family - (they collected the innards for me and I got one per DAY from a family of 3 :eek:)
2. Kitchen roll - what is wrong with using a cloth to mop up spillages?????
3. Leaving taps running whilst mopping down the work surface - Why????
4. throwing things out on the sell by date - I saw a great signature on the OS board, along the lines of "Get in touch with your food, avoid the tyranny of sell by dates"
5. buying food with only a vague idea of how they can be used, and then throwing them out a week later.....

I wish I was easy going.

If I were being honest, the out-laws have been very generous (financially included) over the last 10 years, so I'm being naughty to complain about tomorrows trip.

The non-invite is from sister -i-L, she's having a birthday meal for M-i-L tomorrow, and it is that from which I have been excluded.
I pick M up at 7am and should be down in Somerset by 10 am, a quick turn around and I'll be in my own garden by the afternoon - so please tell me to quit griping

Off now to collect M-i-L, her plane is on time.
Popeye managed to dissuade her from buying me some ornaments as a thank-you, for which I am profoundly grateful. Unfortunately he proudly told me in the presence of the lodger, who has oft bought me "thank-you" ornaments :rotfl:
