    Evening all
It was 7 degs in my room, so cold that the machines wouldn't work properly & I spent all day constantly unjamming them. I left the heating on low, so hopefully it will be warmer there tomorrow.
Popped in to see DD, took her some clothes a workmate gave me for DGS, he immediately put on one of the jackets as he liked it so much.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

I do this as well, but mine is in a folder, every time I buy something new, the reciept gets stapled to the front of the instruction book and filed away in alphabetical order, I also put guarantees for work done in there, saves hours searching for instruction books or reciepts.

I also have a folder for the cars, and bills :o I also have a touch ot OCD :o :rotfl:

I do this too with car bills and general bills but your idea of stapling receipts to appliance instruction booklet is brilliant I shall do this from now on

Lamewolf (((hugs))) I am always forgetting stuff too but if you are worried your GP can do a mini memory test insurgery which may put you at ease a little
  • I didn't manage to get on last night and this is the first chance I've had today too! I just want to apologise for not having ready the thread the past couple of days and just posting my own woes, obvioulsy just feeling down but I will try going forward to read all the posts as well as post- sorry!

I have stepped down ,my new position will take affect early February, so I'm going to give my all to my current role for the last few weeks before I step back and relax a little bit in my new one! Thanks for all of your kind words on the subject.

DP's bloomin ongoing temporary job turned out to be just 1 days work so we're back to square one there and I've just taken the decision to step down and loose money due to it and he's unemployed again now! ARGHHHH!!! Nothing ever goes right for my family, I'm just learning to deal with it now, we will cope because we have to, I am not letting myself get down about it, we will keep searching for work for him and in the mean time, keep smiling and be FRUGAL!

OS today; load of washing, made some more flapjacks and thats it but I have been working for 10 hours today. DP has done some cleaning, (hoovered upstairs and down and wiped the kitchen/bathroom over)

Going Forward, I will try to be positive, and definately try to read your posts!!!! x

Forget the OCD label. I'm just going to call you super organized. :T I want to be like you when (if) I grow up. ;)

No need to be sorry luv. Some days are busy, and we all know that. Read as you can and post away. I'm just now getting back to read tonight after posting this morning. I've not had a busy day, just a lazy one. ;)

Was sure I posted earlier to-day but can't find it...LW whatever you have may be contagious!

    Happy anniversary Pookies!

Welcome to Newbies and welcome back Donna....congratulations on weight loss...much prefer MSE to facebook myself, probably shows my age!

Looking forward to an OS meet in Edinburgh on Friday, we will be there for a wedding on Saturday and so far there are five of us for the meet.

Very cold here, this old house seems to cool much more quickly than it used to do so heat is on most of the time and Ulick has been out cutting logs for a fire in the LR...

Had some really nice lamb chops for dinner...not OS, they cost €15.50 for enough for 5 people! They were lovely though so that is my treat for this week, I'm worth it..

Hugs to all who are in need or want...January is a dismal month, although we had such a lovely sun set to-day that I took several photos to cheer me up when it rains.

Hello Hello Hellooooooo! Happy anniversary to Pooky & Mr Pooky, and kind thoughts to all those who are poorly or have water in their garage Betheebee. Horrible situation to be in - I hope they get the work done OK. Lamewolf - please go and see the Doc - chances are the sitting worrying about it is going to be worse in the longrun than finding out what the cause is. It could be something as simple as a dietary supplement or change of diet needed. JackieO - something I've done in the past when I've had problems with overnight cold is to put a throw over the duvet and then tuck in at the bottom of the bed - stops the draughts coming up from the bottom. Undercover Angel - I'm SO glad you made the decision about work - try not to worry about the money side of it for now - you know how to eat well and cheaply and these things have a habit of working out for the best.

SO cold in the office today - it didn't get above about 16deg C until nearly lunchtime and we were frozen. I've left the heaters set slightly differently and also looked out a small blow-heater so we'll see how things are tomorrow. Oh hang on, no I won't, I'm on site all day tomorrow! :T

Home this evening and had a clear up in the front room a la Flylady - only got as far as sorting out the two sofas but that's a start and they were horribly cluttered! :rotfl: :rotfl: So nice to have a clean tidy kitchen midweek - I'm already seeing the benefits of the flylady thing I must admit and might join next week. I need a partner in crime - Oystercatcher, where are you! Dinner tonight was mystery mince from the freezer (label had fallen off the box!) and cheese on jacket spuds. Could have been a disaster but thankfully was delicious! I'm now sitting watching the Rick Stein programme on BBC2 and working up to typing my storecupboard inventory into a word document. I used a spare few minutes at work earlier on to type a To Do list as well so I need to copy that across...... My meal plan for next week is now just about done and when the veg box turns up tomorrow I can finalise both that and my shopping list. DW and WM both went on last night and the WM will probably go on again tonight, if only to finish tumble drying the sheets it washed last night. I don'd mind TD'ing if I can do it overnight on the E7 electric!

Sunny girl - thanks for the best wishes for my dad's birthday. Was quite funny in a way because we went to get my nieces from school to come with us. THe 4yr old came out of school proudly carrying a card for her grandads birthday (bless her). We looked at it and saw that grandad had blue arms, to which I asked "oh are they his wings because he is in heaven", "don't be silly" she replied "they are his arms"! Don't you just love them.

Undercover angel - sorry to hear your news. Have had a pretty lousy year myself and it is so easy to keep thinking that things can't get any worse but they will get better. Will keep you in my thoughts and have fingers crossed that brighter things come your way for this year to be your best yet.
I got there - I'm debt free and intend to stay that way. If I haven't got the cash, it doesn't get bought. It's as simple as that.

Evening all:hello: Still very cold here but not freezing, raining this morning, I think I might be jealous of some people’s snow – but then again.......
Usual Wednesday for me, into town and then to Mother’s. I take her to Asda to do her weekly shop. Told her she didn’t need to come with me but she wanted to go out. Bought 2 lots of yellow stickered flowers – should have been £11 paid £2.60, they make a nice change from the Christmas decs.
Mudgekin - £1.17 for a leek and a stroppy SA thrown in as well, no I wouldn't be rushing back there.
Like Sunnyday we are now on salads, DH put on half a stone since beginning of December so that needs removing sharpish. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Pooky on their anniversary. Jackie O I have a microwaveable wheat pack I take to bed (saves me having to warm my feet on DH!) and I find it keeps warm for hours. Perhaps worth a try if you are suffering with the cold (and the thick socks are a good idea too).
((((((( Beth)))))) hope things get put right quickly. I started putting loft insulation in a month or so ago but haven't finished the job yet. Remaining insulation is up there ready to put down and I have covering for the pipes but time (and energy) ran out.
(((((((Lamewolf)))))) hope you are enjoying a relaxing drink this evening, excellent idea to keep the diary and I would think about talking to your GP, better than continuing to worry.
    Hi and welcome Mhagster.
Warming, gentle hugs to those who need them.
