Hugs to all especially Lamewolf and Betheebee.
Lamewolf - it may be that you are not 'processing' things. If you have other things on your mind, or medication is affecting your concentration, it will make it hard to process the information to store in long term memory. Memory is a tricky thing, and if you suffer from any form of depression then you get what feel like gaps in memory because you can only remember what you processed when your mind was in a similar state, so when you are depressed you remember what happened when you were depressed previously and when you are undepressed you can remember stuff that happened when you were undepressed but have trouble remembering things that happened when you were depressed. And if you could follow that sentence you are a star! But lack of memory can be just as much about processing. Do see your GP, because it may be something really silly.
Also, today little bear has been relentless and I am taking more and more things out of his room. All his nappy changing stuff is near his room instead of in it now - he got into a full packet of baby wipes, pulled out all eighty of them one by one and put them in the bin (:T I think, in that he put the huge mound in the bin, not that he pulled them out one by one). I am frazzled. BUT I took a meal out of the freezer which was probably a thick soup or possibly a thin stew and it tasted gorgeous when in the past we would have got a takeaway. So I am pleased with that, if nothing else.
Bethebee - do you feel able to drop phrases into conversations with waterboard such as 'compensation' and 'consequential losses'? After all, if it serves so many people it is not a minor repair. Wishing you luck.

Hi,
Late posting but I want to make sure I keep up and not think that I can't be bothered.
Tired tonight so DH made dinner - fish stir fry which we often have and is usually delicious. Unfortunately DH thought putting a rub on the fish was a good idea - I felt like the judges on Masterchef - there was just too much going on flavour wise.
DH has worked for M & S for over 20 years so the news of more redundancies isn't very welcome. He thinks he will be alright this time but 1 in 7 of head office will be going so we can't know for sure. THis is about the 8th time we've been through this with them and his previous company. He's never actually been made redundant but once got within a week of it before they offered him a new position. Just have to be fatalistic about it.
oS wise we've emptied 2 of the boxes storing stuff into our new study, but that's it I'm afraid.
