  • Many thanks for your help, really appreciate it - I have written back and specified Thursday as a deadline and sent Google an email regarding whether BA can still process a refund for me.

Interestingly they are still stating google checkout on their website as a method for payment....

I will update, hopefully with good news!
  • We have ordered a Carseat from Bebe Amor costing £160 which we were struggling to afford anyway. We have had one email to advise, just like everyone else that it is not in stock & that it will be 'delivered within 7-10 working days'. I cannot believe this company!! We believed it was a reputable company especially since Paypal and Protx are both payment systems for the site. We have tried calling the company on all three contact numbers constantly as well as emailing time & time again to no avail. We are unsure whether to hang off and see if the items are delivered or to request a refund as we have read that some people have not received their items at all which is very worrying, whereas others have. Some people have still not received refunds, yet others have :( We don't know what to do for the best  Our baby is due in the next couple of weeks and we now have no carseat to bring her/him home in :(
  • We ordered a Calgary room set at the beginning of Jan (7 weeks ago) and had been having the same problems as everyone else with regard to trying to get hold of them! After finding this thread I was starting to get very worried and so a solicitor friend of my wrote an email direct to their sales team and 2 days later they rang me to arrange delivery! Anyway, the furniture was delivered today and assembled free of charge as stated and I must admit that I am very happy with the product. However, this does not mean that I will be using Bebe Amor again or recommending them to anyone - I am just glad that the whole episode is at an end and I can breathe easy now I know they haven't just made off with almost £1,000 of my money! The delivery company did tell us that it takes BA 14 days to receive the goods themselves, so stating on their website that delivery is within 14 days is completely misleading, although I do note that they have recently updated this to 21 to 28 days which is still a lie as my furniture took 7 weeks. I wouldn't have minded so much if they had just stated this from the outset and I knew where I stood - being heavily pregnant (as I'm sure most of you are too) didn't help ease the stress which is something us expectant mothers can well do without!
  • oh God, Dont know where from to start!! so exhausted from all the anger and frustration that me and my wife were having the last cple of weeks. Now i believe it "too good to be true"..bought an item on 4th January, no one contacted me to let us know that it was out stock or discontinued, i found out by myself when two weeks past on my delivery date. Have been given options and ive choosen another colour of the same item. and another four weeks past and no contact, no replies to my emails, phone constantly ringing with no answer. So i have decided to cancel order by email, drove down to Huddersfield n refund been given..still waiting for money to be deposited into my bank account. Peter assured that its on order and I shud have item delivered on wed or at last friday, - i have to say i believed him- but its too late now as i have ordered another one that my wife fallen love with last wed n it should be delivered tomorrow, so i basically wanted the money. It was only an hour and 20 minutes journey so yeah my advice would be - to all mum n dads to be- you dont need the hassle or stress, i believe this task of buying things for your beloved babies should be enjoyable- if you paid by credit card, just contact your bank for charge back, otherwise just go down to the showroom and get your money. I have learned my lesson to double check on the company and do the research before buying anything..! Goodluck - cant wait to get my money back into my account.

Hiya - this is what makes me so mad about these lot - the stress they are causing expectant mums.

if you paid by credit card then just ring your credit card company and tell them you have ordered goods that havent been delivered as promised and that you want to claim the payment back under section 75 of the consumer credit act. At the same time, email bebe amor and tell them you want to cancel your order and request a refund to be processed within three working days. By this time, you will receive the claim forms from teh credit card company and - if they havent processed your refund- use this route to recover your money

The credit card company will then suspend the amount on your card leaving you with the funds available to buy your car seat from somewhere else - kiddicare are usually very reliable for delivery (and can get 4% back through quidco).

Good luck - and don't panic - these bunch of cowboys just aren't worth it. xx

  • Hiya Everyone,

After driving all the way to huddersfield yesterday to get a refund which was given, I can confirm that money has been credited into my bank account last night midnight!!!!! how quick was thatn..ThhhhaaaannnK God for that, as I only paid by debit card so was no other option for me other than going to them.

To the person who was quering about that they starting to give out reference no.s , I can confirm these numbers as genuine as Ive got the refund authorisation papers from them, so thats a good sign that youll get your money back..Good luck everyone.

    Never again dealing with BA.
  • Here is a brief summary of our experience to date:

    30/12/08.

Placed our order via Google Checkout (approx £650.00 worth). Please note that at the time of placing our order all items were shown as being in stock with a delivery date of 3 to 5 working days. Had confirmation from Google that Bebe-Amor will soon be shipping our order.
We did accept that this could take a bit longer due to the Chritmas break.

    10/01/09.

As we have not heard anything we requested the status of our order with Google. They forwarded our request on to Bebe-Amor.

    15/01/09.

We received an email from Lisa at Bebe Amor explaining that they are still awaiting some items that we ordered. She explained that this could take up to 2 weeks. As we are very understanding people we confirmed that this is not a problem (little did we know)

    27/01/09.

Now getting concerned we contacted them. The phone was either engaged or they never answered. I emailed them requesting that they contact us to avoid any further concern.

    3/2/09.

We still had no reply and again we tried contacting them (by phone and email). The phone was never ansewred and we had no reply to our emails.

    5/2/09.

Despite all our previous requests to get an update I finally managed to get through on the phone (this took best part of the day). I spoke to Matthew who informed me that our delivery was scheduled for week commencing 9/2/09. As he could not give me a definite date I explained that this did not suit us and requested for delivery to be made during week commencing 16/2/09. He assured me that this would not be a problem. He said that they would contact me the following week to arrange a define date.

    6/2/09.

We thought that it would be wise to confirm this. I rang and again after various attempts they finally answered. Lisa told me that our delivery was scheduled for week commencing 9/2/09 (How confusing!!) Again I explained that this did not suit us. I requested fior delivery to be made in week commencing 16/2/09. Lisa assured me that this would not be a problem. She said that they would contact me the following week to arrange a definite date.

    11/2/09.

I rang and was told by Lisa that items are out of stock and that they would contact me sometime during week commencing 16/2/09 to arrange a delivery date. I told her that we are extremely dissapointed and that the customer service they provide by no means meet the standard as advertised in their web page. She was extremely rude and unprofessional (I could hear her having a bite to eat whilst talking to me!!!)

    12/2/09.

I rang Bebe -Amor to cancel my order (spoke to Liam). He assured me that I would receive a full refund within 3 - 5 working days.

    13/2/09

Thought it might be wise to check whether they have cancelled our order. Tried to ring but phone was either engaged or they never answered.

    16/2/09.

Tried to ring them again but as usual no luck. Sent an email and believe it or not had a response from Lisa. She confirmed (very rude) that my order was cancelled that I would receive my cheque in the next few days. Apparently their accounts department was processing my refund. Not sure why they want to send me a cheque when I have paid by Credit Card.

    19/2/09

Rang Bebe- Amor again as I still have not received any form of refund. Spoke to Liam and he promised me my cheque no later than Monday 23/02/09. Guess what....................................................
It is Tuesday (24/2/09) today and so far no sign of our refund....
    Will keep you updated.
  • Hi there,

Been having the same problems as everyone else on this site with this so called company. But today my refund finally hit my bank which was requested via telephone on Thurs 12th Feb - yes shock horror they answered the phone!!!

I just thought I would make others aware, the other reasons why I cancelled my order :

The delivery was very over due and unable to fix a delivery date.

Second reason, I did a credit check on the company to find that in Jan 09 they had a CCJ issued against the company.

After speaking to the director who was very unhappy that I pointed out his companies CCJ, and then realising that "Greens Transport" was owned my him also - I thought I would cut our losses and request a refund.

I have learnt a very valuable lesson to always do research on a company and also the cheapest is not always the best!

Good luck all, keep hounding them! :j :j :j

Ps Also reported to my local Trading Standards as felt the lac of service from this company was totally un-professional and un-acceptable.

Just spoken with Liam, and he has confirmed that a cheque has been posted to me today, and I should receive it either today or tomorrow..... we shall see !!!
  • Eventually got through to Bebe Amor on 0800 number this afternoon after getting hung up on once before earlier this morning. They could not confirm an exact delivery date for my order but did imply it would be with me next week as they have the isofix base for the seat in stock...clearly can guarantee we will not receive this next week!! We were initially told that they were awaiting large stock order from supplier (just like everyone else) but when we contacted their direct supplier, Recaro, this morning they advised that Bebe Amor does not have a pending order with them??!! and we were also advised that the colour of carseat we had ordered has been discontinued  so why have we not been advised of this??!!!! Going to see my Solicitor about this matter now as it is becoming a real joke. Also, noticed the comment on this page about them having CCJ against them in Jan 09, not surprised althought doesn't leave a good outlook for all of us customers who have yet to receive our goods!
