bebe-amor, I paid for pram, never received, no answer

  • Just to give a short update. It looks like that I actually have received the money back for my Cot Bed ordered with my Credit Card. The order was cancelled on 12th Feb and the Money appeared back on my card on 18th ... this is not too bad ... Only hope now, that they are doing the same for my travel system cancelled finally on Tuesday 17th Feb, but bought with a Visa Debit Card. Nothing yet on the account but I do grant them a few more days. Just glad, that at least some of the 600 something GBP spent are back ... Good luck to everyone with their refunds!

    i was looking at spending over 700 on some furniture from this company thro amazon i thought id do a quick check see if anyone else had ordered from them and found this does this mean even if i order from them via amazon i could still encounter the same problems i really wanted to order because its 350 cheaper than everywhere else but if im going to have such problems i wont bother thanks for any advice :)

  • Well a large box has arrived this morning from Bebe Amor which I assume is my buggy - I haven't opened it yet (am at work so will have to wait till tonight to open it) to check contents but it has the right manufacturer on the side and looks the right size! Hooray!

    As I wish to be scrupulously fair to Bebe Amor (as I would to anyone) I can say that this is the second delivery date I was promised, so although it's a bit rubbish, and getting through on the phone has been a complete nightmare, they have (pending checking contents) delivered eventually.

    Also the reception where I work had about ten parcels for various people, all baby goods (we're a fertile bunch) and all arrived on the same carrier, so I think what Bebe Amor told me about getting a huge delivery from Dorel last week must have been true, as loads of stuff has arrived all at once.

    I just wanted to give you an update.......I just called my Bank and the money is in my account:j .....I will NEVER USE THIS (SO CALLED) COMPANY AGAIN......

    To all you mums and dads out there....DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS ROGUE COMPANY....

    To those of you waiting for goods/refunds...BE PERSISTANT, DON'T LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT. REPORT THEM TO WATCHDOG, TRADING STANDARDS....I ended up threatening them with legal action and that done the trick.....:T
  • I sent them a cancellation email on Friday after they missed their 3rd promised delivery date and as today is the 30 day point since I ordered I will also send a letter recorded delivery asking for a refund.

    Great news to hear they have actually paid some of you guys back - gives me some hope at least. I have been in contact with Dorel (the manufacturer) who are now investigating along with trading standards and google.
    We have since ordered the items from Mothercare and are getting delivery tomorrow.

    I have received an email saying they will send a cheque as they cannot use google checkout anymore to refund me -it will be with me in a 'couple of days' - don't know if I trust them on this, but don't know what choice I have got - any ideas?

    If I were you I would check with Google check-out whether what BA are stating is true!!! with regards to being unable to process your refund.

    If it is true, send BA an email requesting confirmation of which date they posted the cheque...clearly state if the cheque is not received by Thursday 26th February 2009 that you will instruct your solictor to start legal proceedings. Make sure you include your home address for the dispatch of the cheque to ensure they have the correct address (don't assume anything with these bunch of cowboys/girls).

    I'm not sure how you paid but the other option is to do a credit card/visa debit chargeback via your bank...It's worthwhile contacting them now so you can get the paperwork just in case you don't receive the cheque.

    After all the frustration BA caused me I didn't want to order the same items from another company, so I decided to splash out on the Stokke Xplory which I had my heart set-on in the first place...

    If anyone is planning on ordering a Stokke Xplory I ordered mine thorugh Back in Action. I placed my order today (before 12pm) and I received an email confirmation providing confirmation of my order. After all the problems I experienced with BA, I decided to call Back in Action to confirm my order and delivery date (they stated 24hrs delivery) and a really nice sales advisor confirmed that order had been processed and will be delivered tomorrow!!!! Now that's what I call GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

    I was going to order my Stokke from Two Left Feet but after doing a Google search on them it appears they are even WORSE than BA!!!. I've definitely learn't my lesson....BEFORE PLACING AN ORDER WITH A COMPANY DO A SEARCH ON THEM FIRST...

    Glad u are all getting ur refunds!!

    Although they are at last doing the right thing it shouldnt be this hard to get here!

    And people are now back where they started!! I def would NEVER use them again and urge others to do the same!!

    I agree research a company before buying and make sure you are comfortable, i had this gut feeling from the start i dont know why!
