Hallo
I picked up the book and disc in a charity shop this week.
I've only got a few chapters in and I haven't listened to the disc yet (I'm waiting for him to tell me to)
Have to say I'm a little bit sceptical about whether it will work for me. I don't think my eating habits are terrible, I haven't got a lot of weight to lose, and I'm a bit unsure that leaving the last bit of my dinner is going to make a significant calorific differencebut I'm giving it a go.
Here's a question... if, eating my normal food, I maintain a weight of 12st, then lose a stone, then go back to exactly what I was eating at 12st... will I go back to 12st, or will I maintain the 11?My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Wahey rockie, well done you! :T I've had a good day too, and even got a bit of cycling in today, despite the weather!
I do find I fall asleep when I listen to the CD late at night though, wonder whether it still 'works..?'
Good luck for another good day for us tomorrow....
I nearly always fall asleep, in fact when I wasn't doing it I still listened from time to time if I was having trouble sleeping..:rotfl:0 -
Hi everyone
Can I join your happy crew?:D
I have chosen PMK for my continued weightloss after losing 8 lb over the last 3 weeks on the kellogs 2 bowls a day diet. It was hard but it did kick start me into the right frame of mind but it is not practical for me moving forward. What I love about PMK is that you can eat (and drink I assume) what you like therefore the guilt disappears and real choice comes into play and that its ok to eat slowly and leave food. Oddly I am quite good at this naturally anyway (I often get asked in restaurants if there was something wrong with my food as I will stop if I am full:o) but I also drink too much wine and can quite often eat for the sake of it when I am not really hungry at all. I am going to apply his technique across the board and even with my wine I will still occasionally enjoy a glass but I intend to be fully conscious when I drink it (:rotfl: :rotfl: not drink it then become fully unconscious:rotfl: :rotfl: )
The other main reason I love this programme is that I am qualified in both NLP and hypnosis so really relate to the techniques (ok ok I know - but rarely practise them when it comes to weight loss:o)
In the last 3 weeks I have really upped my water intake (its about 2.5 litres a day now) and started doing some excersise in the form of Davina McCall dvds and walking more.
My goal is another stone off or a comfy size 12 (I have 3 lots of sizes in my wardrobe and currently my size 12s are under the spare bed so target is to swop my current 14s with the 12s oh and completly ditch the 16s:o )
Ok so can I ask for some advice - the cds I bought were purchased years ago in a very mse way (qvc clearance store) so I have 4 CDs (none missing that was the box set)The secrets of naturally thin people, exersise made easy, craving buster and programme the mind to slim your body - but no journal/book
Is it worth buying the book? What is the journal for and could I just do a food diary to save buying it? Do the daily tips help? Could we put them on here?
Right thats me waffled on far too long now sorry but am looking forward to sharing success.0 -
I really like the journal, the tips are very good and I find filling it in each night very theraputic
(that's a big word for me!!)
It's not a food diary it's more about have you followed the steps and positive thoughts, what are you looking forwards too etc.
I got mine off Amazon, about £7 I think?? Well worth it in my opinion because it's made me commit to the 90days.0 -

Hi fay, welcome aboard! You don't have to wait for him to say to use the CD, you can use it anytime - give it a go! I advise using it in the daytime if possible, 'cos if you do it at bedtime you'll probably fall asleep, like rockie and myself.
This programme is more than just 'leaving a bit of your dinner' as you'll find out when you listen to the CD. Personally it's made me feel much more motivated, more positive in my outlook and even got me wanting to do exercise.
As for the question about what weight you would be, I would take a guess that you would go back up to 12.
Try not to go into this programme thinking " it will not work for me" or chances are, it won't. With any weight loss programme you need to take into account that it will take time, there is no magic wand. Paul Mckenna is good but not a magician!(Unfortunately!)
Keep at it, try the CD and let us know how you are getting on...

Hi nelski, I recognise your avatar and name from the Arms too!
Glad to have you on board too. Looks like you are the same size as me, also hoping to be a perfect 12.
I've been looking on the net for some PMK success stories and found this set of webchats (old) which look really good and informative (Sky website, Paul McKenna himself answering questions about this system when his series was shown in the UK in 2006):

and this is a good success story about a lady who was 30 stone and she lost 20 stones. This is her with Paul interviewed on GMTV:

Meanwhile, hope everybody has had a good day!I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -
Thanks for those links QS:beer: I'll have a look!
I had a brilliant day yesterday up to coming in from my dance class:rolleyes: OH had baked bread while I was out and I 'had' to sample a couple of slices
I'm cross with myself because I wasn't hungry at all!! I did however sit down with them and ate them really slowly, before I would have stuffed them in and gone back for more :rotfl: I did do better with the water yesterday:D
Finishing this afternoon for a whole week off work :T and planning a lovely homemade aubergine korma for tea with a nice glass of wine this evening!
Enjoy the weekend :A0
