 Wow! Thanks for that misgrace, I've avoided the cd that puts you off your cravings, 'cos I didn't want to put myself off chocolate, I like it too much! :D

Think there is a book & cd about giving up smoking but not sure it would be as effective as that TV method obviously was!

Thats the thing Quiksave, I love chocolate too, and not in a million years did I think I would be put off chocolate, I was a chocolate binger lol.
I know its hard to believe but it did work, and even now we go out for a meal, I would always go for the chocolate fudgecake, or profitteroles, or anything with chocolate, but now I cant bear to touch it.

For the smoking, I think I would need it work like the chocolate, as like the OP, I did try tapes, but after a night or two, thier voice would drive me insane, as it started to drone, so I know the cds wouldnt work for me.

I would love PM to do a smoking show like the chocolate one, the odd time I do flick through hoping to strike lucky, but obviously he hasnt televised it yet.

So if you or anyone comes across any shows for smoking, please let me know.:D

misgrace said she was turned off chocolate by watching the american edition of Paul McKenna on TV. I have a 5 cd edition of 'I can make you thin' and one of the CD's is called 'Craving Buster' but I've heard that you shouldn't use it lightly because you can be turned off the chosen food forever! (The method is also described in detail in the book).

If I told you the rules you wouldn't believe that they worked because they are so simple! It's not described as "The Simplest Weight-Loss System in the World" for nothing! (Actually, I know a simpler one, the one that goes, "Eat Less, Move More!" :D)

    But here they are anyway!:

In order to lose weight you MUST follow these instructions completely:

    1. When you are hungry, EAT!
    2. EAT WHAT YOU WANT, not what you think you should.
    3. Eat CONSCIOUSLY and enjoy every mouthful
    4. When you think you are full, STOP eating.

In the book ('I Can Make You Thin') you are given more guidance about these rules so I do recommend you get it somehow. 'Amazon' has got 27 pages of mostly good reviews and I'm sure you could get it either in the library, or ebay or even your local charity shop - that's where I got mine. You also get a CD with it but you may or may not like his rather intense way of speaking!

Good luck if you decide to do it and join me here if you want support! :D

Where do you get the CDs?

As I have mentioned, mine were from a charity shop, he sells a 6 set pack on his website for around £50 (EEK!) but I'm sure you could find it elsewhere for cheaper (ebay, etc)

You don't need the 5 cd set, phunkles, you can do this programme with just the one. The other ones are just him reinforcing the info that he gives you in the book anyway.

As for forgetting the rules, there's only 4! :rotfl:

Lol i know but i can only remember eat slowly and i only remember it after ive grabbed something really quick and have a ooooops moment

I think ill listen to the cd in a bit - well i could do with an earlish night I guess and the cd is just the ticket.
I love the counting backwards thing on the cd
I swerved the chapter in the book on never eating a food again I dont think I could give up something
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?

:rotfl: I can identify with the oooops moment! Old habits die hard! :D
Did you do the CD last night? Earlish night 1.45am?

I know I keep going on about this (and I should really be on commission!) but my clothes already feel baggy and I've only been on this programme for 6 days. I am so convinced that this is going to work for me that today I bought a really tight figure hugging skirt from Warehouse - Size 12 (I'm normally a 14-16). Shant be weighing myself yet though until Paul says I can! :D

I took a 'Before' picture of myself and if I'm brave (and look great for my 'after' pic) I might show them to everybody on here...

Erm no I got distracted lol oops again
Have reread the book today - and eat what you want to eat not what you think you should eat - ive been reaching for fruit and healthier snacks.
    I think it works
Will start it properly after me little adventure next week.
    Good luck Quik :)
