just wondering how everyones getting on?
xox0 -
Hi! I have just found this thread and would like to join in. How are the previous posters doing? (Hope you've not all given up and I'm on my own!
) Is anybody else doing this and if so, how far are you into it? Any success stories to tell?
I've just started this programme today, plan to do the full 3 months and would hopefully like some support on here. (Anybody there? ....echo, echo...)
In true MSE style, I got the 5 cd set with journal etc. in a charity shop for £5, so thought that was a good deal, considering the book+cd can be about £10 alone.
I've been on many many diets in the past and never got to my target (1.5 stone to lose) yet, so I'm hoping this will be 'the one'.I think the american series is still on
but I don't like watching that, so I'll stick to my CD's and books.
Look forward to hearing from others either using the programme or just for some support. I plan to report on my progress and (hopefully!) success...I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -
Well he has not made me sleep ,in fact after listening to his cd at least a dozen times I am now programmed to hate that mans voice forever, whenever I hear it now I have an overwelming urge to throttle him.:mad:0

5 cds?? I have just one cd with the book i bought years ago.
However ive yet to listen to it properly cause the counting backwards thing makes me fall asleep.
And i always forget the rules.
I might restart this today actuallyLove is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together0 -
well, i started this thread... and i've already given up and moved back to the dark side (weight watchers).
i found the rules too hard to follow when i was stressed out or short of time. the plan is brilliant and works really well if you stick to the rules. it's true what paul mckenna says - the plan doesn't stop working, you stop working at the plan. and that's exactly what i did. it was fine at the beginning of the year when i was still off work (a combination of christmas shut down and being ill in january), but after that, when work got a bit busier and i didn't have so much time to eat my lunch, and when i was stressed out and bored, i just found it too hard to stick to the rules and realised it wasn't for me - i can't control my comfort eating (i have the 5 cd set and the one designed to conquer comfort eating didn't work for me) and i need more structure to my diet, which weight watchers gives me.
good luck to anyone still following the rules!!!0 -
Thanks for reporting back becca and good luck with the WW programme.
1sue23 I agree with you about his voice, it is a bit annoying and I'm only on my 2nd day! :rotfl: Apparently he was a 'pop picker' type of DJ before he was a hypnotist!
For me I've found it strange slowing down my eating but its really quite rewarding to actually taste my food for a change! So far its going well but it is very early days yet....I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -
that bit is good - the eating slowly bit. even though i find it hard to stick to the other rules at the moment, i have noticably slowed down my eating speed and do enjoy food more now, so it wasn't a complete waste of time0

You don't need the 5 cd set, phunkles, you can do this programme with just the one. The other ones are just him reinforcing the info that he gives you in the book anyway.
As for forgetting the rules, there's only 4! :rotfl:
It's definately not a waste of time becca, as you said yourself it worked for you when you were using it, it only stops working if you do.
I'm also liking being able to eat what I like, when I like! Whoever heard of a diet programme that lets you do that? :eek:And no, I'm not eating chocolate and cakes all the time!
As you can probably tell, I'm still on the enthusiastic stage of this programme (I'm on my 4th day) but am already feeling much more positive, I'm already more motivated and getting things done, which has got to be a good thing.
If anybody else has a copy gathering dust on their bookshelves and would like to join me, I'd love some company. WW and Slimming World aren't the only ways to get slim!I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -
Feeling good about myself and this programme again today! I had a routine trip to our local hospital 3 miles away this morning and was planning on going on the bus. I've been listening to these Paul McKenna CD's for just 5 days - and I felt motivated enough to cycle there & back! Thats unheard of for me! Exercise?! Pah!........ But I did it!
(Never mind that when I got there my water bottle had leaked water and made a stain on my jeans, I won't let that put me of!
)..... Onwards and upwards!

I have been reading your posts with interest as I too saw part of PM 'I can make you thin', but I didnt watch all the shows.
Its also interesting how he has gone to America to do his shows, his contract is I think 3 years, but he is allowed to hypnotise you through the TV, as he wasnt allowed to do this in the UK, he could half hypnotise his audience off camera, but the other half he did on camera.
I was one of the ones that got hypnotised through the TV, I kid you not lol.
It was just after the xmas before last, and I was flicking through the channels, (like you do), and came across his show.
The bit I saw, was when he was trying to stop the audience, and in particular a woman he had on stage from eating chocolate.
He did his routine, but obviously did some off camera, but he then said to try this at home.
I had loads of chocs in my fridge from Xmas, as I do love my chocolate, choclate cake, eclairs, dime bars, whole nut, you name it, as long as it had chocolate I ate it.
He got this woman on the stage, and waved an enormous bar of chocolate at her, and said for her to eat it, she made a grab for it, but at the same time he did his spiel, done the snapping fingers bit, and then he said to try it at home.
So, there was me, doing what he said, cant remember half of it, but he snapped his fingers, offered her the bar, and she nearly heaved.
Right, I thought, what a load of tosh etc, so I went to my fridge, looked at the chocolate and felt sick, to this day, nearly 15 months on, I have not eaten any chocolate.
I just wish he did a TV program for smoking, as if I can be put of chocolate through watching his program, then surely it would work for smoking.:D0
