    Can I join in? I re-started using the PMK cd/journal last week (I'm on day 7 )

I did it a couple of years ago and lost about 10lbs which went back on as soon as I stopped 'working the plan'.

I tend to wake up about 4am and listen to the cd then, I always go back to sleep! He does have a very irritating voice but it seems to be working.
I just went to the canteen for my lunch and came back with a salad box  beacause I actually felt like I wanted to eat salad *swoons*

I'm now comfortably full having taken over half an hour to eat a box of salad and a yoghurt! My eating has really slowed down and I'm actually tasting my food now:D

I've even taken the battery out of my scales to stop myself weighing every day!

As for the looser clothes, my jeans aren't as tight, I have to keep hitching them up!!

Hi rockie! Yes you can join, you are very welcome! I'm on Day 7 too so we are both at the same point in the programme. :j I'm using the journal too, as I really think it helps you to remember some of the rules you might be forgetting! :D I'm not too good with the 'drinking water' rule, must try harder!

I had visitors today so found it more difficult to apply the 'eat only until you are full' rule, but I did leave stuff on my plate which I never used to.

I need to get my full length mirror out of the kids room because at the moment I have to sneak in their room at the dead of night when they are asleep! :D

Good luck to everyone on the programme and do come and join us!

Programme still going well, what sort of day did you have rockie?

I have to say I think that doing this weight loss plan now has been made easier for me by the fact that my hubby is away (he's working in China for a few weeks). Just makes it easier to eat only when I am hungry, to slow down my eating and I'm also able to listen to the CD last thing at night without being disturbed! :D The real test will be when he's back - hope I look noticably different!

Mother's Day tomorrow, for a change I don't want too many choccies! ;)

Hi, i got the book from my local library and read it last monday, i didnt pay much attention and have had a very stressful week (greek kitchen style-smashing plates lol) but i have been eating less, drinking more water and feeling better about myself. Im also leaving food on the plate, and stopping when i feel full. :j

I dont know if ive lost any weight yet, i want to read the book again and start listening to the cd asap but dont intend to weigh myself for a while anyway. I want to get the 90 day journal, cos i think that would be easier for me to follow if i have daily instructions. I want to lose at least a stone, i lost loads of weight last year on my divorce diet, not recommended btw, it includes depression, no sleep, etc but i did look good when i'd lost the weight, its all gone back on due to comfort eating once the shock wore off that my marriage was over.

When i get properly started, i'll let you know how im getting on, but fingers crossed i stick to it!

I'm struggling a bit in the evenings:mad: I do really well all day, eat slowly and only when hungry, get loads of exercise, drink (some) water.....then it all goes to pot about 9pm:mad:

However......I'm not pigging like I was!! The daft thing is I'm NOT hungry, I know I'm not but the urge to eat is sometimes overwhelming:rolleyes: I need to get to grips with the distraction techniques, I'll take the book to work with me and copy the relevant pages to keep downstairs I think

It would also help if my OH was away :rotfl: he's stickthin and eats like a horse:rolleyes:

I am writing it all down in the journal though and I think I'm sticking to it for 80% of the time!!

At least my DD brought me flowers for Mother's Day :D

Aw Rockie,((sending virtual message of support)). Keep at it, you're nearly there..

So much for me not having choccies today - in the absence of my hubby my mother-in-law interfered and got me a box AND a tin of chocolates for me (from the kids) for Mother's Day!!!

One of my sons made the card that said "Eat loads of chockolate" :D at school. It was written on a red warning sign! :rotfl:

Living TV is showing the above show, starting tomorrow... anyone else planning to watch it and give it a go?

I read the book a couple of years back and have his CD on my ipod, but i'm actually going to take it seriously and make it work for me. Hypnotherapy has worked for me in other areas (my other half is a qualified hypnotherapist so I get plenty of free therapy!) and Paul's system is basically common sense anyway - we all know what we have to do to lose weight, we just don't always do it!

i'm also intriqued by his weight loss seminars, but think it might be a bit hard to get tickets and it's a lot of money to spend on just one day!!

i'm just so tired of yo-yo dieting... if my previous diets have proven anything, it's that i'm perfectly capable of following the rules of a diet and losing weight (for a while...), but I am not currently capable of maintaining a healthy weight because I can't stick to a diet for long enough. If anything, I am walking proof of Paul McKenna's claims that most diets just make you fatter - i started dieting when i was 18. I'm now 24 and would kill to be the weight i was when i was 18!! I got to my goal weight with Weight Watchers in October 2003... and was back to where i started by Christmas 2003 - it's been down hill from there!

I'm hoping to fix my relationship with food and lose weight slowly and safely and use the time gathering the tools i need to maintain the weight after i've lost it.

    anyone care to join me?
    Hi becca 2008
I don't see how this is goning to work for you,
you need to exersize to loose weight,
I have been in a wheelchair for two years then getting back on my feet for the past 3 years
I am almost ready to give back the crutch, now.

I am eating whatever I want,
and losing half a stone aweek,
    I went up to a size 20-22,
    I am currently a size 16-18 but bordering on a size 14,
I have bought some size 14 clothes of which I should be able to wear next week.

How am I doing this you may ask.
    Well one way is.

    eat breakfast lunch and dinner,
but eat fruit with whatever you eat,
have a small salad with a ham toasty for lunch,
and lots of veg with a piece of chicken breast for dinner,
if you feel hungary eat fruit,
    its that simple,
I bought myself a vibration plate,
    this one.

    http://www.uksportimports.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=100&products_id=2443

cheap at this price, very easy to put together,
    and a sky glider.

    this one

    http://homeshopping.24studio.co.uk/offers-of-the-month/megabuys/sweets-treats/2/carllewisskyglider/5/?source=TL80&cm_mmc=Studio_GoogleBaseFeed
but you can get cheaper if you do a search.

I do the vibration plate 10mins 4 times aday,
    and the glider twice aday.
build it up from 1-2 mins to whatever you want to do,
I am pushing myself to get further than 15 mins,
but this is how the weight is coming off.
I was losing 2lb aday which was great and I think I will get back to this, but I have my monthly so have put a couple of pounds on,
    which was very dishearting,
it did make me work harder though,
    so there you have it.
how to lose weight sensibly and be abale to eat at the same time, once you have got to your desired weight, then keep up with the eating, and do the exersize, this will keep your weight down.
I believe in you are what you eat.
lots of fruit and veg thats the trick.
    :D

    Plans for 2009
1/ Get fit. 2/ Get my figure back. 3/ Get the MAN BACK! :kisses2::happylove
contrary to popular belief, I am all Woman.

Hi Ice! I remember you from the Big Brother and weather threads in the Arms. Wow! Well done on your weight loss. 2lbs a day? Thats incredible! I'm writing to let you know that becca said she is no longer doing this programme, she has changed to Weight Watchers because it gave her 'more structure' (see her post above).

Don't knock this programme though Ice, it positively supports exercising too - in the book.

I have to say today everyone, I cheated!! No, not with all those chocs - I weighed myself! :naughty: And I'm delighted to say in my first week I have lost 6lbs! :j :T :D

Good luck to all the people starting next week!

Are you sure you haven't had bariatric surgery?

I love Paul McKenna's CD and his book makes perfect sense but my lifestyle means I end up waiting till I am ravenous and then skip the veggies and end up binging on hunger-busting carbs, usually a big bowl of cereal! Today was so lovely and bright I felt motivated to excercise, had a light breakfast and reasonable lunch, hence wasn't hungry at all for the rest of he day. When I logged on this evening I finally succumbed to my bowl of Cheerios - a hard habit to break!

Strangely enough I feel less interested in chocolate since Paul set me on the path of correction.

Hope is not a strategy :D...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!
