in the past when i was at the end of my tether, i had to threaten that he could live with someone else, because i couldn't be his mum if i had no authority. he took that quite seriously. I explained that if he doesn't respect the general things i told him, then he might not listen to something he didn't realise was crucial and life/death matter. that he needed to just respect anything i said, because i always had his best interest at heart, and in mind

Level One

[strike]Declutter the manky bathroom floor[/strike]
Level Two
[strike]Wash the window and clear the sill[/strike]

Level Three
[strike]Scrub down the tiles..[/strike]
[strike]Wash the floor[/strike]
[strike]Wash the shower screen, [/strike]

1. [strike]Empty and clean out the bin[/strike]
2. [strike]Polish the mirrors[/strike]

Tuesday - tinklings
Level One
[strike]Clear and wipe kitchen worksurfaces[/strike]
[strike]Sweep the floor![/strike]
Level Two
[strike]Mop the floor[/strike]
[strike]Muck out the fridge[/strike]
Level Three
[strike]S&S over all the unit fronts and appliances![/strike]
Extras

1. [strike]Wash the windows and sills[/strike]
2. [strike]Clean out the microwave[/strike]
3. [strike]Fill a binbag with rubbish and get rid![/strike]

Wishy-Washy Wednesday
Level One
[strike]Declutter the living room , hallway and stairs[/strike]
[strike]Clear and tidy the mantle[/strike]
Level Two
[strike]Vacuum the cleared floors and up the stairs.. under furniture if you can move it safely![/strike]
[strike]Wipe and water neglected plants[/strike]
Level Three
Check smoke alarms.. change any batteries that need doing
[strike]Wipe the paintwork[/strike]
[strike]Dust the flat surfaces[/strike]

Thursday - Master bedsty & landing
Level One
Strip the bedsheets and wash them! - Sunday job
Level Two
[strike]Vacuum the floor you can see in the bedroom and on the landing![/strike]

15 minutes filing (special for Jennybee who has lots!!)
Level Three
[strike]Empty any bins and take any laundry to the wash basket[/strike]
Extras

1. [strike]dust away all the cobwebs and dust[/strike]
2. [strike]Wipe all the upstairs doors! .. both sides!![/strike]

Friday - Spare rooms
Level Two
[strike]Vacuum the floor you can see [/strike]
Fill a binbag with stuff you no longer need and get rid!

Level Three
[strike]Straighten books shelves/games etc[/strike]
Extras

1. [strike]dust away all the cobwebs and dust[/strike]
2. [strike]Wipe the paintwork and grubby sticky hand prints[/strike]
3. [strike]dust shelves and light fittings etc[/strike]

Think I must have been lucky with DD1. DD2 already has selective deafness when she's doing something she shouldn't. Funny how she always responds to sentances that contain the words 'biscuit' or 'chocolate' or 'cake'!! LOL

then we would discover D which i would never have thought of otherwise and which was better than A after all, and we'd both be really happy!

There is also the coin one..

They have 5x5p's each day .. every time they are naughty a 5p is taken away, if they do something good they get is back.. at the end of the week what remains is theirs and can buy a treat!

Great minds think alike...I suggested the coin one to a friend the other day!

I also think it goes a long way to have a chat about what behaviour induces what consequence when they are calm and being good so that they are listening. No good trying to discuss in the heat of the moment. They are usually too mad and so are you.

Only job on my list I didn't get round to, was making the soup - which may/may not happen tonight - if not - defo tomorrow!

Read my Amazon delivery (well, one of them), being - Thrifty Ways for Modern Days - and noticed some of our ladies mentioned in Mr Lewis' acknowledgements:T :T :T . Does that mean I can say I know someone famous?

For the poster who asked about Old Style on Amazon - I ordered the above book, and it came up with some other recommended titles (I also ordered The Thrift Book (India Knight), The Complete Tightwad Gazette (2nd hand) and PennyPinchers Revisited(2nd Hand) - Don't know if that's the sort of thing you're looking for?.. All for the princely sum of £6.94 - had a voucher (points received on a credit card) and free delivery too, so I'm well pleased with myself!

Off to read India Knight now...

Fling out all the empties from the bathroom
Wipe the mouldy bits away
Level Three
Scrub down the tiles.. defrag the pc while you do this!.. or virusscan or spyware scan
Wash/vacuum the floor
Wash the shower curtain/screen, curtains/blinds etc
Extras

1. Empty and clean out the bin
2. Polish the mirrors
3. Delete 50 unwanted emails from your inbox!

4. Catch up on important phone calls... if you do it now you have time to chase the follow up calls later in the week!

1. Make an appointment for some ME-time.. go get your hair done, half an hour shopping, coffee with a friend.. Have had plenty of ME time..lol
   
2. Wash the windows in these rooms
3. Clean out your handbag!.. and/or college/work bag
4. Wash any soft furnishings that are in need!

Thursday - Master bedsty & landing

15 minutes filing (special for Jennybee who has lots!!)
Level Three
Wash any soft furnishing that need it
HH doing something that NEEDS doing..study, ironing, exercise.. GO!
Empty any binsand take any laundry to the wash basketthis is ongoing..I have a huge mountain that won't clear!!

1. Wash dirty windows

Drag all the tat from under the bed and put it in its rightful places

4. dust shelves and light fittings etc
5. [Ring More Than to renogatiate Scruffydog's insurance - it worked they reduced it by £5.00
6. Make lemon drizzle cake for tomorrow

Added bonus I found my Shop and Scan barcode sheets but now I can't find my bleeper
