pigpen...some people are so roode!
Ok tell me if I've over reacted to this. I was clearing our room and in DD2's pillowcase which she had her presents in were some chocolates she hadn't got out. So I got them out and left them on the bed so I could put the case in the wash. Children come home and go upstairs to get changed and I hear DS shouting about chocolate. So up I go to find he'd opened one packet and given something to DD1 who'd already eaten it! I've told them I'm not happy as it was DD2s chocolate and they should know by now to ask, now she has to go without , ok she'll never notice but that's not the point. They've been sent to their rooms whilst I think what to do, any ideas? I'm just so fed up of being ignored, answered back, told no all the time and them completely undermining any authority I have! Ok they're not violent, are polite to people etc but at home it's a nightmare and half the time I dread them coming home and not listening to me.
Definately agree with only making threats that you will carry out. DD1 went through a phase of lying all the time when she was about 4. After everything else not working we changed tactics. We sat her down and said that everytime she told a lie she would not get pudding at the next mealtime. So this is what happened and she soon learnt. It was better as well because I felt that I didn't have to shout at her for it just say, Ok, no pudding at tea time. It didn't take long for it to stop. But I think you have to find what pushes their buttons. Pudding did it for DD1, might be watching TV, story at bedtime, no computer games. HTH0 -
We are having loads of bed time issues at the moment.. I am letting it ride until we are properly back in routine.. then I'm having MAJOR crack down.. starting.. Sunday! The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

I have just made tea it is in the oven cooking, I have made breaded chicken with potatoe chunks. All is seasoned so that it has some flavour. Wins in 09 = A vodka cocktail kit thing lol, £150 Amazon voucher.0 -
no playstation/computer time works a treat here!
I also reward great behaviour with what DS likes best as soon as poss, like say he does voluntary work and is a star at it, he'll get comp time, even if it is late at night, cos he's spent what would have been comp time volunteering.
Normally he would have to wait for a good time later in the week, not late at night!smoke-free since Aug 2003 :j JDWilliams [strike]£479.55 [/strike] [strike]£417.92[/strike] [STRIKE]£318.33[/STRIKE] £0.00NSD in Feb 1 so far Ambrose Wilson [strike]£464.49[/strike] [strike]£422.76[/strike] £405.11:T

Like desserts.. or new things.. or birthday parties (theirs or others).. or visits to grandmas.. friends over.. etc.. there is ALWAYS something.
There is also the coin one..
They have 5x5p's each day .. every time they are naughty a 5p is taken away, if they do something good they get is back.. at the end of the week what remains is theirs and can buy a treat!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
