Back with my grubs. PO queue was right out the door so the package can be sent tomorrow.. I'm not that keen and it was only paid for today.
I just had a snarl at a guy in sainsbugs. I had 4 of the children with me.. standing quite nicely while I bought sweets for the panto.. and this pig came and stood behind us and really nasty said ' will you children move so I can get past' ... I replied ' excuse me works quite nicely, there is no need to be rude!'.. and being the big hard man he walked away.. it was amusing though because he was in front of us in the queue and a woman needed to be by and said excuse me and the children parted like the red sea.. he just turned away... Sadly some grown ups have no manners and it is up to the children to show them how to behave properly... It does annoy me though when people think they can talk to children like dirt because they are little!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hi,
Hope everyone is well. Brother-in-law couldn't come round yesterday as his car's broke, but he should have been round today as he said he was getting a lift. I've been out all day doing my volunteering, but am off tomorrow, so should be able to do some more housework/decorating/errands. Went round to meet my great-niece last night, she's gorgeous!0 -
pigpen...some people are so roode!
Ok tell me if I've over reacted to this. I was clearing our room and in DD2's pillowcase which she had her presents in were some chocolates she hadn't got out. So I got them out and left them on the bed so I could put the case in the wash. Children come home and go upstairs to get changed and I hear DS shouting about chocolate. So up I go to find he'd opened one packet and given something to DD1 who'd already eaten it! I've told them I'm not happy as it was DD2s chocolate and they should know by now to ask, now she has to go without , ok she'll never notice but that's not the point. They've been sent to their rooms whilst I think what to do, any ideas? I'm just so fed up of being ignored, answered back, told no all the time and them completely undermining any authority I have! Ok they're not violent, are polite to people etc but at home it's a nightmare and half the time I dread them coming home and not listening to me.Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Quick update for anybody who remembers (or even cares lol) about the gift voucher i had for my hair and a massage which they claimed had been used.....
They never got back to us so had to phone them yesterday, the manager claimed to know nothing about it  but phoned back saying that when my husband bought the gift voucher, they stupidly put in the till system that he had had the things done there and then even though the voucher didnt start until a week later
They offered to increase the value to do a extra treatment but i have told them we want a full refund and hopefully he will get chance to call in for it today.
Still going to complain to the company but will be happy to have the £70 back to spend as i wish
Off for a walk to try to get my daughter to sleep!! I love my gorgeous little girl0 -

Erm right...well I went out food shopping which took a lot longer than expected so haven't done much around the house.
I have washed the bedding, and I have made a yummy chilli con carne.
And I am SO PROUD to report that my kitchen still looks great, even after doing all that cooking
I love slipping into bed when I've just changed the sheets, so tonight I'm going to have a lovely candle lit bath before bed and make it a real treat.
Need to make a menu and To Do list for tomorrow.0 -

Have you tried the 1,2,3 method... I NEVER get to 3 (apart from with DD5 who is going to be an absolute nightmare by 5!!)
they are told once.. and the potential consequences
Second time I just say .. do you WANT me to count to 3? X will happen if I do..
Then the count begins.. IF I get to 3 (which is VERY rare) they are dealt out whatever punishment has been told.. confiscation of toys, bars on trips, no dessert etc..
There is a book.. 1,2,3 Magic .. which explain further but it is fab.. worked for us for all the children. It is all about following through with discipline and cause and effect.. it is good.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
