  • Well, my HHC turned into a major overhall of the front room:

    Wishy-Washy Wednesday – Living Room/Hallway
    Level One
[strike]Declutter the living room [/strike], hallway and stairs Totally gutted the front room, emptied it out, moved all the sofas, chairs, table, tv, ect and we now have a totally new layout
[strike]Clear and tidy the mantle[/strike] Moved that too. :rotfl: we don't have a fireplace so I made one up so we had a focal point from some sleeper type pieces of wood we had - two upright and one over the top - moved it to a better location once the sofas were moved
    Level Two
[strike]Vacuum the cleared floors[/strike] and up the stairs.. [strike]under furniture if you can move it safely![/strike]
Sort through coats and shoes and bag
[strike]Wipe and water neglected plants[/strike] Re-potted one and cut all the dead stuff of another - look much better now
    Level Three
[strike]Check smoke alarms.. change any batteries that need doing[/strike][strike]Wipe the paintwork
    Dust the flat surfaces[/strike]
    Extras
Wash the windows in these rooms
Clean out your handbag!.. and/or college/work bag
[strike]Wash any soft furnishings that are in need![/strike] In machine now...

So now we have a nice front room that is cosy - sofas opposite each other so we can actually talk to visitors if they come round rather than all in a row so we're leaning forward and looking round people - hubby's armchair up other end of room away from radiator so when it's on he's not complaining he's hot while I freeze at the other end of the room. Really pleased - will try to take a photo later if I get a chance...

Off to do the bathroom now after I've caught up a bit on the thread... :D

Im working tomorrow so will do that list Friday. Need to discuss my retirement details with my manager tomorrow and get things moving.

Have done a HHI tonight while waiting for my tea to cook. Dishes washed and got my work trousers in the washer.

    Welcome HH62 and Julu.

Nicki that is just like LO's brace, but also without the big hole in the side. Not the most flattering or comfortable of things are they?

Not at all comfortable, especially since I was in secondary school when I had to wear it - In profile I had a lovely flat stomach but boobs to rival Jordan, yet from the front/back I looked more like a drainpipe as I went straight up and down except for my arms. I hated it sooo much.

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

I was told not to do anything remotely like moving/exercise when pg with DS3.. they didn't say it was ok to do it again after he was born sooooo I'm not taking the chance!.. he is 10 in March....

My feelings exactly - they said the same when my DD was born (20 in August...) why risk hurting yourself if you don't have to? :rotfl:

I would love to join this thread:xmastree:

I'm so hopeless with the housework, and I think tomorrow I will clean the bathroom as it's really bad and there is even soil on the floor as my dead houseplant fell over and I don't have a dustpan and brush, and I was too tired to get the hoover out. I just don't know where to start with the kitchen, so will ignore that and do the bathroom. Then next week I can start properly with following the advice on page 1.:o

Hi again - so much for off duty - I've spent all my time on MSE nosing around...

Can anybody tell me how you get the line across your posts with the stuff under it? (IYSWIM). Don't perticuly have anything to go under a line - I just feel left out:rolleyes:

    Julux

    PS Toots - I've PM'd you
Poor and content is rich enough!
  • Hi everyone - I've not done a thing today except meals and that was an effort. No excuse Just couldn't do it. I have a question - Has any of you ever experienced actual bad luck from leaving christmas decs lying around? My DS2 is very worried about it, been discussing it at school apparently! Just want to know if i should be prepared!:rotfl:

  • Well today has been a major disaster - we have done absolutely nothing off the list.

Life always gets in the way!!
    EE

These things are sent to try us EE, don't stress about it - as they said in gone with the wind, tomorrow is another day... (bit dramatic, but you know what I mean...:rotfl: )

You did the things that needed doing - the chooks and sorting out your DS - catch up with yourself tonight and see what happens tomorrow - you never know, you might end up doing something drastic like me on a whim - stranger things have happened!... take care hun and hope your DS is OK... :A
