I second what Soappie says toots.

Can I just share something with you all. I am so, so, so, so, so proud of my daughter. She's a bright little thing (not so little now she's 9) but has always been quite shy and quiet. For this reason she's gradually suffered at school because she doesn't mess around and has tended to be ignored. This year she has a new teacher who, at parent's evening, said to us that she's very worried our DD will slip through the net because she's so quiet. She said she was making it her mission to make sure that our DD was no longer just below average but with the brighter children where she should be. DD has just told us that she's been moved up a group in Maths and into all the top groups in every other subject. I am so, so, so proud of her for starting to open up in class and i'm so pleased she has an amazing teacher who's made it possible for her reach her full potential. Ok, i'll stop gushing now! xx

floordrobe clearance is picking up all those clothes that either should be in your drawers/wardrobe but are actually on your floor/ lying around your bedroom - or dirty washing that's on your floor that hasn't made it to your wash basket.

Yes, forget about today's list after today - it'll come back round again next week - just concentrate on tomorrow's.

    Thankyou! :D
So will the lists change each week or are they the same on the same days?

Mudbath - that's great news. I'm sure she'll rise to the challenge now she knows she can do it and has support from her teacher

Toots - soappie's right... shout if you need help with your excuses (maybe you can persuade some of your local flyladies to arrange a get together that conflicts, and claim it was already arranged ;) ), after all, you can't be expected to have remembered all the detail of your Feb plans when you were with her. Besides... you need to keep valentines day free... you might have a hot date by then :p

Went to the dentist, and I do have a gum infection, but its pretty much gone. Apparently I need to keep an eye on things as I'm allergic to fluoride toothpaste, so am more susceptible to gum problems. So it's twice a week with the little bottle brushes & floss, as well as the twice daily brushing ...

OK... tonight is my only evening free this week. I have unloaded the DW, put away all the stuff in the kitchen that my mum left out (she doesn't yet know where everything goes, but I'm sure I can get her fully trained!) so I need to have a serious think about what NEEDS doing. I have a friend staying on Saturday (I think) so need to strip and remake the bed, plus put away all the clean clothes in my bedroom. Then I think its just a quick whizz round with the hoover & a S&S in the kitchen/bathroom/loo and I should be OK.

I'm working from home tomorrow morning, so can pack then and maybe declutter a bit more of my desk. I've then got a meeting in Reading (must check where...), and my brother is picking me up to go to Devon as soon as I get back.

Oh, and Toots... my filing isn't organised. It should be, I know the theory, but there always seems to be a couple of months-worth lurking around the house :o

Off to think about my list...

(((((Hugs)))) to those who need them

  • Well today has been a major disaster - we have done absolutely nothing off the list.

I was full of grand plans this morning but it all went wrong, I got up slightly later than normal, then walked the dog to check on the chickens on the allotment. Their water was frozen and I couldn't break the ice so I walked home again and filled 2 25litre containers with warm water, put them in the trolley and walked back to the allotment.

Luckily OH was home to sort children and see them off on the school bus.

Work was fine today and then mid afternoon I get a call from the school to say that DS had been hit by an ice-ball (all snow now ice, not that the kids care) under his eye and it was swollen.

Left work and met DS at home and eye looks like he has done ten rounds with Mike Tyson - how do you know if someone has broken their cheek bone???

Then quickly nipped to allotment with dog and OH, put chickens to bed and walked home. Then off to collect daughter from childminders.

Luckily had brought slow cooker at weekend so tea was ready without much effort.

After all the palava could not be bothered so bathed and have come to bed.

Life always gets in the way!!

    Will try better tomorrow
