Housework only gets noticed when it's not done.
My fake plants died because I did not pretend to water them.

Julu if you go into your user CP (top of page) there is a bit that says edit your signature. You can put whatever you like in there and it'll show under your posts.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Thanks Mudbath - I didn't know how to do that either - but that's not what I meant. If you look at your posts - theres a line under your post, then under that, theres a load of payments (in psychadelic colours) - that's what I want to know how to do, please???

    Jx

It's called your signature, and will be on every post you make ;) Go to the top of the page and click on User CP. At the left of that page go to Edit siganture, and you can put (nearly) what you want :D

    Julu, that's a signature.

If you look at the not quite at the top of the page green bar, you'll see there's a load of little clickable options - main site, forum, user CP etc.

You want to click User CP

When you click that, you get a menu on the left hand side of the screen.
One of those menu options is edit signature

You can put stuff there and it'll be added to every post you commit. I think you're limited to 4 or 5 lines though...

    Hello all

Literally flying in to say hi and back out again! Had better day at work, with an easier commute as I was in a different office. Straight home, quick risotto made and then out to girls brigade. Am just home from that and as DH has stopped working because of the neighbours' noise music i'm going to spend some quality time with him, just as soon as i've finished tomorrow's lunches!

Would appreciate good vibes re the neighbours noise as DH is finding studying really hard with it which is not a good thing!

Miss A is learning about boats and poems at school this term, do any of you wonderful people have any poems about boats/sea/sailing that Y3 children would enjoy?

I have done a bit of hunting round and searching through our books. The obvious one I got was Edward Lear and the Tale of the Jumbilies.

I need to go and get something to eat but will be back in a wee while.

What about the Carpenter and the Walrus from Alice in Wonderland? Isn't that something about boats and oysters?

Well, I think I have done really well today. I did everything that I could off my list, which was most of it and then became restless so I also cleared the bookcase in our bedroom, sorted out a box of books to recycle and moved some boxes of things from under our bed to the loft, along with the Christmas decorations. I now have a lovely clean bookcase rather than the jumbled mess it had become. (I have a photo, will post in a minute as I am so proud!)
However, there was rather a disaster with the curtain washing...

 I shrunk the curtains

We have french windows in our rented house and the curtains have been there since we moved in, they are OK looking but have never hung well as they are tab top, but on a pole, held on by the funny hooky clippy attachy things (ok there's probably a word for them) so they usually ended up hanging off by about 3! They were actually about 6 inches too long and were really annoying me so I don't feel to bad about it  OH rehung them for me as I was so upset about shrinking them but he's done a great job and it seems to make the room look so much neater, having straight curtains!

I'm glad it's bedroom tomorrow as I have made a start today but I will pot a photo in a minute to show you how bad it is!

when DD had her 2nd birthday, I had a tea party in the house for her and her littlr friends, not thinking that 6/7 2 year olds, cream walls, cream rug and cream curtains do not mix especially when they decide to play hide and seek behind the curtains AFTER eating chocolate cake etc. Anyway, had to wash the curtains and linings, all looked good till i hung them all - front room and wider patio door ones - the curtains had shrunk, but the linings did not plus i put the wrong ones in each room, so they are now shorter than the lining and the patio door ones are not quite wide enough!!!!!!
