Is access really that bad?
Its all we can get on the exchange we are about to move to (either that or BT, or talktalk) and Id rather stay with O2 but hearing all these stories about the access package is putting me off...0 -
@ Claire
please read my answer, to the same question, just 5 posts higher
@Summer
Rather than using a telephone extension cable, leave the modem/router near the master socket, and use a length of cat5 networking cable to connect the PC to it. You'll still have a trailing wire, but you should have better sync/speed.Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0 -
Thanks but is BT going to be any better? If its the same line?
And does it depend on where you live or is it bad everywhere?0 -
O2 access is bad everywhere...O2 LLU is pretty good everywhere.
The date 14th April 2009 is being bandied around the forums as the date Access will be "fixed"...though many of us have our doubts.
There are many companies tha\t are likely to be better..even though the line is the same, as the issue is backhaul provision (centrals) rather than physics. BT wouldn't be my 1st choice...though with my recent error in judgement (O2 access) even I wouldn't listen to me anymoreUtinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0 -

Ouch...
Were with O2 LLU at the moment and would love to stay as its been great but unfortunately were moving next month and samknows says this for our new exchange

were tied in with Bt for our phone line and calls (works out cheapest for us as we dont really use the phone) so just want broadband elsewhere0 -
I have a problem. I forgot my admin password to my router. I reset the router and now do not have an internet connection. The router keeps saying 'your dsl line is down' even though it isn't. Any ideas?ThanksThis is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.0

Can't you factory reset your router (stick a paperclip into a hole - check instructions!)?0
