It's not mentioned on the following link, but I think that 4658 is used for the all authorization Connect cards, as all of my partner's £50/£100 cheque guarantee cards have always been on 4539 as long as partner can remember.

I have see a standard barclays connect card with 4659 02, with a £100 CG so they are not all authorisation only. The authorisation request comes in the form of a 3 digit code that is encoded in to the chip and magstripe, one of those 3 digits dictates if authorisation is necessary same with electron. It cant all be done on the basis of BIN or INN numbers. Those are the first 4 and first 6 respectively.

Exactly, and why anyone should be remotely interested in what a card looks like is beyond my comprehension, it is a bit of plastic, end of.

As long as it works, that really is all that matters as far as I am concerned.

Ok, so I got my HSBC Plus debit card and I'm quite impressed with the new design.. It has a neat red line around the thickness of card itself which looks smart :)
Also, I've included a scan of the "your new visa card leaflet" which you can tear down the middle :)
