Good morning, everyone. I'm up earlier than I want to be, although it sounds like DH2B is getting up now anyway. The cold that had been threatening to grip for a few days has finally grabbed me - ugh. Today will be about ironing and getting ready for work; the tree and other decorations will be coming down and back into the loft it'll go. We have to pop into town at some point, but beyond that I think we'll both be housekeeping today.
Dinner tonight'll be the fajitas I really didn't feel up to making last night. I'm hoping something a bit spicy will work wonders! Hope everyone has a lovely day, and (((hugs))) to those in need.

Well, like yesterday, it's not so cold here so no scraping of windscreens today.
Thats strange Kathy, we are not far from you, and yet there is a severe frost here, there was 1/2 bucket of water left out overnight, which has frozen solid, and the car looks like its been snowed on.
Morning all
Stef :j :T Happy Christmas hun xx
Have been out to feed the birds, and put some water down for them, as soon as i come in they swoop down and start eating, a blackbird is currently having a bath in the tray of water I put out.
Got the tree down yesterday, and I must admit I love it when its gone, gave it a good clean throught as well.
I have spring cleaned my dd's room, will do my bedroom on Monday, and then continue through the house, de cluttering as I go :T
My mum and dd went to the panto yesterday with the smallest two of my brothers children (twins) they are turning out to be little horrors just like their elder brothers, I love them to bits, but I am ashamed to say that they are terribly behaved, and I can see them all ending up in trouble like the eldest one, my brother and his OH just do not make good parents.
I have stripped the bed and got that in the wm on a boil wash, I have one more load to do after, I will get it all on the line, looks like its going to be a nice day.
OH has gone off to the car boot sale, and is picking up veg and eggs for the week, I will have to do an online shop soon, we are running out of everything, have not done a big shop since the 21st Dec, so not doing bad, just popped out for bits here and there.
I am going to have some boiled eggs for breakfast, dd will have beans on toast, OH does not have breakfast often, lunch will be sandwiches for OH and I, dd is off out with her dad, and tonight we are having a curry delivered :T not os at all but delish.
Diva, have you tried sending a leter to your sis or mum ? sorry to hear about your lodger, perhaps she is missing her own space
Churchie, hugs to you, hope all is going ok xx
Pink how is Tilly doing ? x
Smoky, hope you are all ok xx
Any way eggs are calling me, have good days all xx0 -
Hello everyone,
Rain today which has made it cooler. DS1 & DGS came down this arv & have just left. This morning made some peanut biscuits & bread & butter pickles. DD still here and is leaving tomorrow. I'm so glad she's had a wonderful holiday. :rolleyes:What about me, it isn't fair.
I forgot if I told you all but I must have been very good last year. DH bought me a new Mac computer.Sweet. Never had a Mac before so it's been a learning curve, well it will be once I get a decent go. DS1 has never visited so much.
For those who asked about Benny he has glaucoma in his eye. He's blind in that eye now and they have to remove the pressure. I had no idea. Took him to the vet in Sept with a eye that kept getting gunky & took him again last week as it just wasn't clearing up. The other eye has a little growth on his lid, and she thought it best to remove now as he was under anyway. He has the op on Monday.
I've just drunk a red wine & now have to go and sort out tea. DH & DD is watching a dvd. Hell Boy 2.
Hope you all avagreatweekend& <hugs> to those not well etc. Byeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning all,
Kiddies woke us up at 6 this morning so feel as though I've done half a day already. Why, why, why won't they sleep in !
Nothing much planned today - might make some hm lentil soup-problem is Mum borrowed a pack of lentils and I dont think I've got enough left :-(
My mum has offered to take the kids overnight to let DH and I have a night out. It's the last time for a while that we'll have them away overnight as dad starts his radiotherapy treatment on Monday. Tbh, I'd rather stay in but will make the most of it !
Anyway - hugs to those who need them.
Take careSo little money - so much time :mad:0 -

WM is on, DW is finished & will be unloaded soon.
Not sure what our plans are today, probably another lazy day.

Morning everyone. Haven't had much of a chance to read what s being going on, but thoughts to everyone that needs them. Woke at 6.30 and realised I didn't have to get up as normal, its my first day being unemployed. So I went back to sleep, too laid back, thats my problem.
Its my mums birthday today so we are all out for lunch later today. Not much else going on apart from some housework. OH is cooking me breakfast at the moment. Then a bit of housework and thats it for the day.0 -
Good morning
Today's OS plan is baking. Ds was given a childrens cookery set for Christmas - chef's hat, apron, wooden spoon and some cookie cutters, so he wants to make some biscuits.
On New Years day I cooked a pork joint and yesterday I cooked a chicken. They have both been frozen in me sized portions. That is my version of ready meals. I will be having chicken something for dinner and ds will be having lamb stew, mashed up, as it's the only way I can get veg into him.
I need to wrap my dad's birthday present, and persuade ds to do some "writing" in his grandad's card, then I need to have a quick hoover round (do it most days due to 4 year old!), and then I have the rest of the day to play with ds and try to persuade him to come outside for a walk even though it's so cold. He should be OK, he's decided that the lovely fluffy scarf that I knitted for me actually belongs to him.
Take care all of you and (((hugs))) to anyone that needs one.0
