Any kind of pasta, throw in some onions, leeks, bacon, whatever you have in and a couple of large tbsp of creme fraiche before serving
Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!

Another thing I do with it is mix it with some sauteed mushroom and a dash of brandy - great with steaks or chicken, also mix with honey & mustard for a quck sauce with chicken :)

I make a quick Beef Stroganoff with creme fresh. Just add it to sliced up steak and mushrooms and add paprika.

    It really is lovely!!

You can use creme fraiche in fajitas instead of soured cream. My favorite is my homemade copy of my favorite zizzi meal of chicken, bacon and spring onion with chunky tomatoes, garlic and some creme fraiche added. Stir in pasta and top with lots of cheese. Its gorgeous!!

Alternatively courgettes, garlic and bacon friend, mix with pasta, raw tomato a pinch of dried basil and 2 tablespoons of creme fraiche.

Lots of dessert recipes contain this too but unfortunately I dont have any handy.
  • we have done this one as a WW recipe (I dont measure out anymore - hense not loosing weight!)

    Takes about 20mins
A chicken breast each, cut into strips or some steak
    dice an onion
    a clove of garlic smashed
a good handful of mushrooms sliced

fry off the chicken in some sprayoil, add everything else and your creme fraiche (we buy HL as seems a nicer flavour)
Serve on rice, or a baked spud with green and other colourful veg

One of my fave recipes that includes creme fraiche and is really simple is to place a chicken breast covered in lemon juice and a sprinkle of tarragon in the oven for 25 mins (190 c) then pour creme fraiche on chicken and a quick blast in microwave for 30 secs. Makes a tasty, low fat main meal accompanied with veg.

mix in some strawberries or raspberries and serve instead of yoghurt. or on top of a fruit salad.
  • I decided to try a menu planner, stop me buying takeaways! Anyways, I just wrote DOWN what I was making and then ordered the ingrediants off ASDA. Which wasn't a problem until I realised I don't know what I bought the creme fraiche for (I'll be writing it down next time) Im thinking I maybe bought it to do a chicken pie? But I can't find a recipe that involves creme fraiche.

Any suggestions or recipes would be welcome. I've chicken breasts and puff pastry to use :j
