Just do a search on "roulade" here on Old Style. I think it's in the weight loss recipes thread.

Substitute your creme wotsit for the low fat yuck and perhaps a touch more real sugar than the the subsitute stuff and the result is fabulous!

I'm planning my next one to use mangoes instead of soft fruit berries and I just can't wait! :)

Unfortunately the sins count is rather high if you change the original recipe - but I'm wa-a--a-ay past caring about little things like that :)

Don't make a sauce:D do this instead - spread it lavishly on water biscuits and top with a dollop of quince jelly (or any lush preserve) ;)

Creme fraiche is very versatile and will make a sauce very quickly. For example on steak or chicken. Chop some onion and add some mushrooms . Add seasoning to taste. Add some creme fraiche about three large spoonfuls and mix in well or whisk. Perfect!

Add pesto to make a lovely cold sauce with fish.

I use creme fraiche to make my chicken curry!

I fry off an onion and the chicken, add korma paste, then when all cooked add the creme fraiche to make the sauce.

Maybe you could fry off some curry paste, add the creme fraiche and then poor it over the haddock? Given that haddock makes a good kedgeree the flavours definitely go?

Or warm the creme fraiche and add some cheese for a cheese sauce.

Warm it, add some parmesan serve over pasta?

Stir through cooked pasta with tuna....

It's what you make in October if you have a quince tree in your garden:) It's a fruit jelly in the preserve sense of the word like redcurrant or crab apple. Quinces are large pear/apple like fruits ;)
