, I thought the Wii Fit could also weigh you?
Ooh good news for me! Another pound off for me today so that is two pounds down AND I am back below 21 stone!!!!!!:T:T:T
Yep the Wii Fit does weigh you too - I just couldn't remember what it had told me lol. Selective memory me-thinks!
I weighed in yesterday at 10 st 3lb so it's coming along nicely! :j0 -
I'm doing ok too... so far! I'm just trying to eat sensibly and not binge or snack on carp. I'm not going to weigh myself till the end of the month as I used to get obsessed with it.
I'm making a list of what to have whan starving and need to eat something without reaching for a chocolate bar. Need things which are handy to grab and filling and also things I like. No point in putting down Ryvita as I hate it! So far:
Oat cakes, Baby Bel cheese, bowl porridge (made with water and tinned grapefruit on top), slice toast with cottage cheese, banana (other fruit doesn't do it for me), rice cake (any non-cardboard ones?), low fat yogurt.
Will add more as I go along. Any more ideas?0 -
No breakfast (I just cant eat it:rolleyes: ) but did have mug of coffee with semi skimmed milk and one teaspoon of sugar. Lunchtime well I was a bit naughty and had a breakfast from the local caff that I ate at home: griddled bacon, one egg, two small sausage and some tinned tomatoes and 2 slices of toast with marg. As yet I have no idea what to have for tea but as I have 6 eggs in the fridge will make an omelette and maybe hardboil the rest.
I will have another coffee in a while and maybe some fruit juice later (that is if it hasnt gone off). I did some walking today - from home to the bus stop (across the road) from bus stop to bus stop in town and then from bus stop to hospital (about 10 mins walk) then trip in reverse only I did get off the bus two stops before home and walked back - probably about a quarter of a mile.0 -
well done on the exercise horace! it is surprising how many 'spare' calories you can create with a bit of extra exercise.... I know that the walk from my house to the local off-licence burns off enough cals for a small glass of wineI'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

I'm late to join as I have been off line but the pre chrsitmas chgallenge was almost fun, so if you don't mind me bing late I'd like to join in
I kept pretty well on the straight and narrow over the festive season - although i did give in to a few temptations. The funniest thing was when I had some pasta on the 2nd and I bloated horrendously, I felt really uncomfortable and swollen, but thats gone and I've been eating well. My juicer is in storage (why is it I'd alway crave juice in the new year, its too cold for juice!) but I've been experimenting with shop bought veg juices as on the go snack foods and tonight had a super home made spinach soup which was wonderful looking and tasting as it was diet conscious.
I'm going to Italy at the end of the month and while its 'business' as opposed to pleasure I'd still like to look a little sharper and feel lighter on my feet. Its my birthday in March and I'm hoping to lose two dress sizes by then.0 -
The DS Weight Coach is still holding my (somewhat erratic) attention and I'm doing 6000+ steps a day (according to the snazzy pedometer they give you with it). On top of that, I've cut out rubbish and am eating more fruit and veg, so I'm sure I'll have lost a pound of two when Monday comes (only weighing once a week).
Also, I'm planning meals more effectively, so for a change, losing weight is actually saving me money! Double bubble! Whoever came up with this thread, thank you. It's making me feel accountable without making me pay £6 a week to someone who I scarcely speak to and who makes me feel like I'm featuring in an episode of Little Britain.Drop half a stone for January challenge.

Happiness is not in the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort. (Thank you Mr Roosevelt)0 -

Yes, thanks from me too.
Yesterday a running club ran through our village and I was impressed at the support people were yelling to each other. I couldn't possibly run, but I'd love to find some other people to walk with, or maybe swim with. I'd like to join a yoga class too but I just feel a bit self aware about exercising with 'normal' people yet. I wonder if its worth approaching the nurse who runs the weight loss clinics at GPs about forming a walking group?I do walk already, with the dogs etc, but walking with more purpose would be more effective I think.

See if you can get walking or gym membership on prescription - don't laugh it does happen. One of my friends regularly attends a gym on prescription and over the last 12 months she has lost 2 stone:j
Well I managed to clear 778 calories in exercise today - I walked to the bank a bit further down the road than my usual bus stop (next door to the gym in fact:rotfl: ) then I got a bus to the city centre and walked 2 miles to my meeting and 2 miles back into the city - I hung around in the freezing cold for over an hour waiting for a mate who I was supposed to be meeting for lunch - he never arrived:mad: I was absolutely perished so went to a cafe bar for lunch - one hot chocolate (they offered me extra sugar but I declined) and sausage and mash with extra veg (I normally love this but this was horrendous). The gravy was sweet, the sausages I am convinced were under cooked and slightly off:eek: and the mash had a unique flavour so I dared to ask what breed of potato was used, they looked at me as though I was mad. I asked them if they were King Edwards, Maris Piper, Whites, Reds but they didnt know and then produced a bag of smash-type mash mix:eek:
So my advice is to avoid the restaurant called MASH at the Waters Edge in Brindley Place:rotfl:0
