Drop half a stone for January Challenge!

Following the spectacular success of the 'Drop half a stone for Christmas' Challenge http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1328267 I am aiming to lose another half stone in January. This is really important as i am going on holiday at the end of January and I don't want to look like a sack of spuds!

We KNOW it can be done, so lets do it!!

I use this site

http://caloriecount.about.com/cc/account/index.php

You set up your own target by inputting weight, height, how active your lifestyle is, and any medical conditions. Then each day you keep a food diary by inputting what you eat, and also an activity log. The site works out your calories for input (food) and output (activity). The idea is that you keep the input between 500 and 1000 cals below the output, but without dropping below the minimum food cals set by the site for your lifestyle etc. And best of all the calorie count site is free!

If you're interested sign up here and lets help each other :T

Weigh yourself now, really go for it over the weekend to give any Christmas Excess a good boot, and then we can go back to our regular Monday weigh-in on 5th Jan to see how we are all doing.

Remember - It's 2009 and we are doing just fine!!!

Would love to join you. Tried to sign in. Got told my e-mail address was already registered! Who can I contact to clear this up? Anyone else had problems today or is it just me?

    Hi Diane and welcome!

Do you mean you tried to sign in on the calorie count site? If it is saying your e-mail address is already registered, have you tried going through the 'forgotten password' process and getting on that way?

OR alternatively, you could just get yourself a hotmail account and use that (that's what I would do) because you only need it to register so you can get on the site and use the charts, it wouldn't really matter if you never checked your e-mails after that.

Yep. I used my hotmail address. Signed in as a new member, went thru password, hints etc. Then it stated it already had an account for my e-mail address. Tried to sign in thinking it had registered me, but can't. Gave up in the end.

    Welcome Coldstream!

Diane, why don't you get you get a new hotmail address and register with that? It is worth having another go as the site is so helpful.

But even if you don't use the calorie count site, you can still join us for the half stone challenge!

Hello Dragon, glad to see you back! For me, half a stone seems managable whereas if I think about how much I have to lose to get back into my favourite jeans, it seems like an impossible task - I can't get them past my thighs atm :o

If we chip away at the surplus weight in half stone chunks, we'll get there!
