i originally said that i would only be weighing myself every two weeks, as that's what Paul McKenna recommends on his system... but i'm going to weigh myself every monday instead.

not just for this challenge, but because i've always weighed myself weekly (i think it's incredibly unhealthy to weigh myself more often than weekly as i've done this before and ended up obsessed with it and it led to all kinds of issues) and i think i need that weekly check in to make sure i'm going in the right direction - especially because i'm not counting calories or anything like that.

i'm still poorly. went to work yesterday, which in a way was good because now i'm completely up to date for when i go back on monday.... but i also feel worse than i did on thursday because i think i overdid it. so it looks like my weekend will be spent resting :(

I've given up on the calorie counter website and gone back to counting WW points! I dunno if its because I've never done calories before or I'm even more deeply indoctrinated into WW than I thought but I just can't get my head round it! One of the problems is that I'm notoriously bad at estimating amounts so I find the American measurements even harder to choose.

Anyway, still going strong, I'm perversely looking forward to weighing on Monday to see how well I've done (I've had a sneaky peek as I'm one of those OCD people who have to weigh everyday :o ). I've been watching Paul McKenna this week and I've tried the food aversion and metabolism booster but haven't put them to the test yet, need to wave a big packet of crisps under my nose to see how I react! I know NLP works on me as I had hypnotherapy last year for dentist phobia and it really worked, just not convinced I can do it to myself, still I've still got the programmes recorded so I can re-visit them in a couple of weeks to reinforce them.

B - Shreddies, sultanas, skim milk
L - M&S minestrone soup, bread roll, skinny latte
D - HM Chicken Nuggets, HM Oven Chips, Beans, ww Yog
might even be able to have a treat tonight!!!

Well done everyone for sticking with it (whatever that may mean for you!)

Welcome to those who have just joined us - just jump right in - any start is a good start!

Only one more day till we weigh in...

I've had lunch out today, and had chips and THREE lattes, so I hope I haven't done too much damage. :o We did go for a walk by the canal afterwards though - it was FREEZING I am sure I must have burned off some calories trying to maintain my body temperature!

I'm at a 50th birthday party tomorrow. Fortunately I'm the designated driver, so I'll take a pack of diet coke with me. But its the nibbles I'll have to watch out for. I think I'll eat something healthy before I go, so I don;t make a pig of myself while I'm there!

OH BTW - I have just discovered that I'll have internet access while I'm away, so I'll be able to log in now and again. That's great because I'll be away three weeks, and I really don't want to slide back just because I'm away.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Are you a wheel chair user The Dragon? Could Dr Dragon take you with him that way?

Well, after providing sensible food last night and today DH 'treated me' to providing supper tonight, and, er, didn't quite understand the brief, (diet food to him means coldish) and we had pita bread z'ahtar and olive oil. I don't suppose the oil was catastrophic quantities, but it has left me a bt peckish. Oh well, lots of water I guess. :)

Yay!! Despite being a bad girl yesterday and having some sneaky chips, the needle has nudged down another tiny notch today!

But I did count my calories and made sure I kept the gap between input and output - which is why this calarie counting malarky works for me, because there is a logic to the process which makes me feel I'm in control.

I just have to be good at the birthday bash today, but I think I'll be okay because I am aiming for a 2lb weight loss at the weigh-in tomorrow, and I am so nearly there....

    :D

    Carpe Diem

hmm not been a great week here I dont think - am expecting to at best be the same as last weeks weigh in tomorrow (though I suspect it may be a little up :( ). Good luck to you all - hope that everyone is a loser tomorrow in the nicest possible way.
