Don't do it Blue! Sorry I haven't read all your posts, how long you managed to quit for? Is it worth having one just to go through it all again?!
It's awful if you're going to be around other smokers, the only thing I can suggest is not to drink alcohol because obviously it will weaken your resolve further. If you feel the urge to smoke while you're out could you not have a walk up and down the street just to cool off? Also can you tell people you are out with that you are trying to quit so please don't offer you a cig? If you've told everyone then you might not cave in if you are going to go back on your word?
Good luck, keep strong and you'll feel fantastic if you can get through the night without having one xDMP mutual support number 199Debt free in [strike]2025[/strike] 2018 (hopefully a lot sooner!):j Smokefree since 10pm 2/7/08 :jBaby no.3 due 29/04/20110 -
BlueIsTheColour - hope you haven't given in.... I've just logged on and got to this post - hope Simbalou caught you in time. NOOOOO please don't give in, I am getting so much support from this thread and would like to feel I can give something back as well - don't wanna make you feel guilty if you did give in to the demon nic - but if you did - remember the ol saying "Don't give up giving up"
My mouth has watered a couple of times today when I really fancied a ciggie, and a few times I went to get them out of my bag or pocket only to remember that I was a non-smoker (shows how subconscious it is).
On a lighter note daleigha I too love the dog whisperer although my greyhound does have special needs and does not walk on the dangerous shiny slippery floor called laminate !! I would love Ceaser to come roundto sort out my dog of course :rotfl:

Hi Blue! Whatever you do DON'T give in to it. IF you MUST go to the pub then have an OJ or something that you don't relate to smoking in any way!!! Don't go outside to where the smokers are PLEASE!!! Just feel sorry for them because YOU have started on the journey to being clean and fresh inside and out! You also don't wish to be a slave to nicotine any longer - so don't put yourself in perilous situations. Remember it's YOU that you're giving up for NO one else.
Drink plenty of full glasses of water throughout the day and have plenty of orange juice, especially and as soon as a craving comes on!
Good luck and PLEASE don't give in - BUT - if you do then do come straight back and tell us or PM me if you like and be upfront about it, we'll get you through this IF you wish to and I believe you DO!!!!

I'm so very proud of you and I hope YOU are proud of you too!!! :j
Take care tomorrow and don't let anyone stop you from being a non smoker!!! We're all behind you every step of the way and will remain that way, together we'll help you conquer it. Don't let the dirty little nicotine devil win - see him inside you trying to win you over and fight the 'orrible thing with all you have!!!!
Also to help a little, try to 'see' us all looking at you throughout any times of temptation, we'll be the ones with the glares  threatening to throttle you IF you weaken!!!
Good luck H and thanks SO very much for letting us know what happened. Clemantines, clematines and clemantines and LOADS of willpower.
Keep strong as you CAN get through it all and you dearly want to!

I'm glad I'm not the only one with a greyhound with laminate floor phobia! He doesn't have much to cross due to a big rug but insists on making quite a song and dance about it!! :rotfl:
I've just been for my first run of 2009 - a brief 10 minute dash around the block. Been quite bored today which is my fatal smoking time! I don't actually want to smoke (I'm on Champix) and there's no way I'd go out and buy ciggies, but the boredom aspect has been hard today - hence the run!!
Keep it up everyone, we're all doing brilliantly! :TSmober since 05/12/2008 :j

Only managed the one walk today - and don't my legs know about it, so does the dog he managed to hurt his leg as well - think this exercising is trying to tell me something!
Still no ciggies though - even though there was some boredom with not going out for a second walk - ended up starting to sort spare room out to take my mind off everything - and only ended up taking things out to put them back in a different place. Better luck next time.
Well done Blue:T0 -

How strange - do you think they could be related ! my dog thinks he is safe if he reverses  I think he may be getting more walks now, (something to do) although I used to have a ciggie when I used to walk him before, maybe I could try running or get a smaller pushbike that I can handle when he stops for a pee (see previous post)
I am worrying about going back to work Monday, we used to spend most of the day out the back having a fag - used to find out all the gossip or should I say it was my 'networking time' I'll have to find me some more 'networking' friends who don't smoke.....Smoke free 01/01/09 :TPaD since 10/12/08 - Dec-£46 / Jan-£39.88CC1 Mint [strike]£1215.39[/strike] - £896.63£2 savers club #82 £4 (banked £20)0 -
