The Giving Up Smoking Thread!! Part 2

Sorry to be so late, everyone, but a party tonight, lovely too!
The empty feeling so often spoken about, by you too, determined new ms is, to my mind, the grieving of a friend now passing out of your lives; it's the feeling of 'loss' and it's so understandable when we've had them around for so long. It's that reason that I always speak about the good friend :A v  bad friend paragraph in my PMs. Kick the bad one right out of your life and allow the good one (better health) back in! Stop and think about it, it makes sense if you do.
So good to hear you've had a better day, jinty, it usually follows a rougher one, but the further away you get...the easier it is - I promise you!
A very warm welcome, heretolearn! Somehow I must have missed you earlier and for that I apologise. It's good to see you've been following the thread with us for a little while at least. In which case you know that you can find some helpful tips there. We ALL wish you the very, very best in quitting as it CAN BE DONE and we've had so many success stories on here alone! Stick with us and earn some more for your pot!!!
Good to see you still at it, Caz! The bad night, headache etc may easily be due to the half anxious/half excitement feelings of knowing you're starting off again. It's surprising how we become mentally prepared with different emotions that mimick other things such as illness. I'm pleased you've got the Ice Poles at the ready - long, cold helpers those are! Push on Caz!
Az wherever you are! Could you please follow the directions on the link (also given at around 18.00) I put on earlier and ask to join up?! I like people to ask on the thread themselves, it helps them to be welcomed and 'met' straight away and people will remember you and 'draw you in' much better which is good for you. Thanks Az...you can do it, same as the quitting!! Good to see you're changing drinks AND eating something!
Oh dear Ross, that sounds like some rough day, though I'm sure you get quite a few such as that. Difficult when people are unable to think and act properly, but as Nym says, they'll be grateful for all your help when they're able (where possible) to get their lives back in order.
Yet another in a very fine and caring professional then, hattiefats, well done to you both!
Good to see you Catherine, it's always good to see 'quitters in progress' helping others - a wonderful sign!! :j
To end tonight (that's a laugh) this morning I'm putting a couple of quotes on. From me to you all though: Stay strong and adamant....drink the water...eat the fruit..suck the poles...and exercise the body to release the endorphins into the brain to make you feel soooo much better!
"The only thing that stands between a person and what they want from life is often the will to try it and the faith to believe it's possible"

Keep going strong everyone, it's all so worth it, even the bad days. You'll be thankful you had such amazing strength to get through them when you finally quit.
For all those looking in, but still smoking and maybe looking to find ways to stop, take heart. You WILL find a way, but til then don't ever stop trying. When it comes to quitting them, practice really DOES make perfect!

oh gawd you've set me off again Sue! So sweet, encouraging and giving. :A don't u sleep????
so last night wasn't good. Restless all evening, couldn't sleep in the night and felt quite flat and down (weird that as earlier in the day I had thought it was a breeze! There was one self-indulgent moment when I thought "I can't do this!"but then had a quiet word with myself and just rode the evening out)
I'm really taking heart from you guys that after today things should feel a bit easier? Going to go and read back thru and see what you guys are saying....
Have a great day everyone, today I am resolved I will not smoke xDF as at 30/12/16
