Morning all,
It's great to see yet more people giving up. Best of luck to you all, you can definitely do this!
I'll be 10 weeks quit on Tuesday, and feel delighted that I haven't smoked 2010 cigarettes or spent €870 odd on cigarettes.
It's a bit sobering to realise how much money I've wasted over the years while smoking. It just makes me all the more determined to never have a single puff of a single cigarette ever again.
Best of luck to everyone, congratulations to all those who are staying quit!I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

You have done brilliantly Splishsplash! Well done to you.
This is a damn good time to quit - just think that you can stay indoors while all those poor smokers have to freeze outside.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

5 weeks 4 days - champix
koolcat99 - just stop smoking now trust me.
champix are not a miracle drug that makes you quit or not want a cig.
yes they do there part but you still need will power to quit. you still have to do your bit ! without willpower or setting yourself a quit date you will never stop. its all in your head.
have you quit today on day 14?
from my experience i set a quit day and stuck to it. yes sure i wanted a cig, but i was really determined to quit. its honestly not that hard to quit once you set yourself a quit date. i think you may be surprised how easy it is once you get day 1 over with.
i really hope you quit today, fingers crossed for you. let us know how you get on.0 -
Patches and Inhalator
Trying not to get too complacent BUT I am thinking less and less about smoking and more about the benefits - the best thing for me is that fresh smell on my clothes, hair and skin. I never really thought I smelt like a smoker but my goodness the difference is unbelieveable, even my pillow and bedclothes smell different. The "moments" are very few and far between now and I am so, so happy :j.
The transition from smoker to non-smoker is not easy but my goodness what a feeling !!!!
Good luck to you all - if I can do it YOU CAN DO IT

I think it was Donnaessex (not Donnajunkie) who posted the reasons for quitting. Hope that she returns one day, but I know she had a lot going on in her life so maybe now is not right for her.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

Larmy, I quite agree with your thoughts of this time of year being great when you look out of the door or window and see folk's breath pouring out of their mouths, let alone after they've nigh on frozen and have mixed all the toxic fumes with it too!!!I don't think it was Donnajunkie, larmy, Donna something, but I don't she's a.......!
