Well done to all the newbies, I am really happy that everyone seems to be sticking to it:j:j:j:j:j
It does get a lot easier, and when you see the big savings it really hits home. I have saved over a grand in 3 months :eek::eek::eek:
ALLAN; Do you get Champix in two week packets? The ones I got were in one month and could not be split.
DIETING FOLK.... Please do not forget that your doctor can prescribe proper diet pills if you are following a low fat diet. They do work, and if you stick to a low fat diet the horror stories are just not valid.
Go forth, folks, and kill the wicked weed, not too any though. I still need some idiots to pay into my pension via the chancellor :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:S!!!!horpe0 -

Daz, that almost sounds threatening! Though in that pose it almost looks evil.! My guess DD, would be that he/she was just in the middle of washing - right? At least now I'm aware of what the deuce an American Snowshoe is! Sorry DD, you too Pam, but I'm not a lover of cats....they get to my birds!!!!
Well done with your quit DD, though I wouldn't be at all surprised that the awful cold you have is due to your body cleansing itself of all the muck within. I hope you soon feel so much better, that you put more weight on too! Sizes 8 & 6....aren't human and totally alien to me. I'm like Pam, 14s are in the wardrobe awaiting a loss from the blessed 18 I am now! Look after yourself DD and ....aheeemm,:( the only one NOT to put her time free from fags and method used on the Title bar!
Great news splishsplash, you're doing soooo well!!! :T:T What a savings you're making too, to say nothing of your health! After writing your name I have the song "Splishdplash I was making a dash" on my mind for hours!!!
Great news of your week plus Catherine!! :T:T I also love the way you're talking to yourself and putting yourself right, good for you...whatever works, do it!
Good to see you back xxlaurissaxx, after so much success too, brilliant news!!! :T:T
Congratulations on that 1st compete week Alan!!! :T:T Such a marvellous CM reading too! It really is good Alan, you're Dr isn't feeding you a line. Lots depends on whether you work or walk near to traffic too. We used to have one girl who's Dr wasn't believing her, but it was all due to her working where there were lorries!
p.s frugalpam - that little man eating the chocolate bunny made me laugh, i HATE it!
It makes me want to ravish a bar...or the bally smilie itself!
Daz, you're doing so very well, really you are. :T:T It'll be a sad day (in a way) when you've fully quit as we'll miss your witty quips. I love that one at the bottom!BTW I can't us proper diet pills because of pills I need to take, low thyroid problems too....otherwise would try em like a shot.
Look after yourselves all, you're ALL doing so well on your great journey and each day passed is another to tick off the calendar of your quitting trip! Stick at it, it just keep getting better and better!

1 week, 1 day - champix
dazco
yes the champix come in a foldable packet with 14 days supply. i did not know they did a months supply? maybe its so i go more often for the carbon monoxide readings? a months suply would be better though, i might mention it next week. did they come in a packet again? or just a glass bottle - loose tablets.
i have to go to the nhs smokefree once a week anyway for a review etc. although it will be a little longer for my next appointment as i cannot get there due to my shift pattern.0 -
Hi Guys,
I'd like to join in if I can.
I'm 31 (next week) and have smoked for approx 16 years of my life
I made the decision to give up smoking (and drinking) as we've been trying for a baby for 14 months (unsuccessfully)
So today is day 2 for me. I'm not taking/using anything but I have read the Allen Carr Easyway book. Sceptical as I was it actually IS easy. (I have to say that - admitting it's not is letting the little monster take over lol) Seriously tho, i'm actually doing OK. Just had a bit of a wobble after I'd eaten my lunch and yesterday morning was interesting but other than that i'm doing good.
DH has noticed a huge difference this time - I haven't moaned about it once :rotfl:
YIPPEE - I'M FREE lol
SK xAfter 4 years of heartache, 3 rounds of IVF and 1 loss :A - we are finally expecting our miracle Ki11en - May 2014 :j
And a VERY surprise miracle in March 2017!0 -
Hi SK -big welcome to our quitting smoking thread :j
Well done to you making the decision to give up smoking and being on day 2 :j
You'll find this a really supportive thread and everyone will be glad to help if it's a bad day ever, and praise you if it's been a good day. Do post as often as you can!
I went cold turkey, but I've heard Alan Carr's book has helped a lot of folk. Others on here have used patches or lozenges, Champix, herbal ciggies - basicallly if it works for you, then it's great.
I'm sure others will be along to welcome you soon!
