Hi everyone just popping in to say Im doing fine:D. Been a busy weekend and didnt really have time to come on and post. I think the longer you are without a cigarette the less you need the support of the thread, which Im quite surprised at as I thought this thread was going to become my new addiction !!!
Im really loving being a non smoker its so liberating... I keep thinking how everything is exactly the same as it was before, nothing terrible happened, Ive coped, and life has just went on except I dont need to smoke anymore its kinda weird trying to explain but I thought my life would be cr*p without fags, when actually my life was cr*p with them.....!:rotfl:
Ive saved £81.00 not smoked 311 fags also added 1 day 1hr 55 mins to my life. RESULT!
Im still getting the cravings but just remembering what a recent poster said (cant remember who) it went something like " better to crave a couple of times a day than be a smoker and constantly want to quit!" It was worded much better than that but basically the former is better than the latter!
Ceebeeby Ive got a taskbar on my pc that gives me all my stats its called silkquit try this www.silkquit.co.uk dont know if that right but Im sure you will find it if you google it!
Watched celebbrity quitters last night on channel 5, looks like it could be interesting for us quitters its on every night for the next two wks at 7.30pm.
Smoke free since 16th Dec 2009

Hi folks, just found this thread, and wish I had spotted it earlier.

I packed up on Jan 1st this year, was going great, but cracked today, I had a sneaky one, and I feel so guilty and weak.
The thing is I really enjoyed it as well.

I gave up cold turkey so to speak, no patches, gum etc, just sheer determination, my hubby smokes, but he or we both always smoked outside, as I would never smoke in the home.

I am trying to stay away from a couple of friends who smoke, and it has helped, but I am so annoyed and angry at myself as I was doing so well till today.

Tomorrow is another day so they say lol.
  • misgrace pick your self up and carry on with your quit. You have done so well so far,

Well i decided to go for it after i did my earlier post. So i have been smoke free since 2pm this afternoon. Feeling positive and reading as much info as i can to keep reinforcing why im doing this.
