    ......sidles in....

Sadly I've not JUST been crap I've been crappier than the crappiest person ever at being AF & not only that but no restraint either but (& I know it's early in the day to be saying this) I think I've finally just got bored with it. I've been tied in this loop of every day being "the last time I'm going to do this" (& so overdo it, cos it's the last time..etc) then at some point the following morning (even as soon as I wake up ) I justify why today should be the last day so let's get another 2 bottles & tomorrow will be af & so on & so on. Boring!!! But this morning I woke up & just thought....not today thanks. I usually know by this time if I'm going to do it or not, & I am! (still have to add a feeble little "I hope").

Took the boat out yesterday for the first time this year & it was fabulous, & I remembered how there's often a crowd of people watching boats go through the locks & I don't want to look like a heffalump jumping on & off the boat!! So in strict diet mode now.

So sorry winebox, that you are feeling like this, it is a horrible feeling, i have done this loads of times in the past - but i used to think 'like the diet' i will start next monday and give up, then go out around diferent shops (as i dare not go to one shop and buy 7 bottles of cider or wine in one go!) i'd go to as many different shops as possible and buy enough alc to last the whole week, untill next monday - but you know what i'm going to say now, don't you!
yes i usually got through all that i had bought in, quicker than i should, then had to go out and buy even more, to carry on drinking, untill monday - then of course when monday came, i would find some othere excuse as to why i should drink, just today............
At the moment, i was af yesterday and will be af today, i have been taking my kudzu - 2 tablets at 3.00 o'clock - that was the time, i would always start my drinking, if i had been out for the day and came back home, so i class this as my danger time, but i feel like i get a BUZZ when i take them, i am trying to lose weight at the mo, while trying to be af. everythime in the past, when i have been on a diet, even when i joined weight watchers, i used to plan my alcohol around my meals, instead of keeping alc as a treat, i used to work out how many calories was in my alc, then work out what meals i could have to finish the calories! needless to say i never really lost weight! i have 5 stone to lose and i feel more positive now about doing it, knowing that i can be af some days, it seems to make the dieting easier, i seem to be able to eat a lot more food in the day, rather than try and eat a little and drink loads of alc.
hope you soon start feeling more in control, take care

I was the same jo-jo
I piled on the weight a few years back during a terrible time my family were being put through and I comfort ate and drank my way through it. I started dieting in Sept 2007 and was like you - I allowed for the wine calories before the food ones!!! I am now getting the overeating and drinking under control and have lost over 5 stone now :j:D Still have 2 stone to go before I become a super model :rotfl::rotfl: but I am getting there and have lost weight quicker these last 2 months since I have cut down on my drinking [I still drink at weekends but less than I did and have cut out the weekdays bottle of wine a night altogether :D]

fluufybishop - can i ask you, have you lost all the weight, dieting at home, or did you join a club, or online? i feel better about myself at the moment, as it is the first time in about ten years that i have been af 6 days out of 7, my stomach (cider belly) has gone down quite a lot and as friends noticed yesterday, my face isn't as plump!! i feel like i have more energy and i have lost 4lb's this week, so if all this is the results after being nearly af for 1 week, then by the end of the year i should be like you a size 10 super model!! jo-jo:rotfl:

I have done it all at home on my own jo-jo :D I tried WeightWatchers once but it really wasn't for me so I have done it all on my own :D The only thing I would say is that I have had to exercise a lot, so I use an exercise bike and dance aerobics every weekday and it is shifting slowly but surely :D

    I'm really craving a drink!

I think I might take my second tablet of kudzu, I can't remember if I already took two?

I need to lose some weight too, one thing at a time though I think.

    Hope everyone is okay.:A

God willing, I will be sober for 12 years on May 11th. My life has been truly great since I stopped drinking.
I was shocked how much I was able to save just by living below my means.
