:hello:Totally agree about hangovers being a big incentive not to drink especially as being properly hungover is something that has returned since cutting down. I used to polish off a bottle (at least) every night with very little effect next day but not any more.

I think GC's idea of setting a time and then reviewing sounds good, it certainly worked for you jo. Like I said yesterday, if I get to late in the day and I haven't had a drink I'm not gong to ruin it by having just a glass before bed. It got me thinking yeserday with people having a glass or two in the sun. I thought how controlled are they and that's real cutting down. But I've recognised that I'm an all or nothing person as I'd rather have an AF night(s) and 'bank' drinking time than restrict myself. But that's me and I'm hoping longer term I might drink less on drinking nights.

Antibiotic kicking in, sense of taste almost back and well on the mend! I'm off with fluffy for the weekend. 'night all.

Oh I forgot to ask, why was the goat in the shower?? I thought you were meant to hand rear them in your fabulous farmhouse kitchen in front of the aga??

    8AF, please HS.
  • Morning all :hello:

Another AF day for me please

I know it is still very early days, but I am noticing that I simply don't fancy wine any more (Neil Oliver is another matter though:rotfl:)

For me, the hardest thing about giving up/cutting down has been making the HUGE leap to get through the first day. The feeling of achievement on the second morning, and the 'not waking up with a hangover' feeling is just soooooooo good.

    Have a fab Feelgood Friday

That was my biggest motivator for getting of the drink, the hangovers, and not just the sore head etc, I felt really depressed the following day even just after 3 or 4 pints, any pleasure I did get after getting a bit tipsy certainly isn't worth it.

OK - so I walk in the en-suite shower room upstairs and there is a newborn goat kid standing on the floor looking up at me
