We now have seven bottles of wine in the kitchen rack that we've collected over christmas. I've never seen more than two in there!
ONE OF THEM EVEN HAS DUST ON IT! (they've never had time to gather dust before!)0 -

"Well, week 5 of no alcohol and I see a different person in the mirror. My eyes no longer look dull and vacant, they actually have a little sparkle and my skin doesn't look like uncooked pastry anymore. I feel that I have won a battle but not yet the war. Hope everyone else is at the point they want to be, I never want to be that person I was, I have been tempted but I just think back to what I had become. The sun is shining at the moment and I feel good and want to continue to have the sun in my life."

That's an excellent idea provided you don't get tempted. Is there anywhere you can put them out of harms way??
My right leg is extremely numb today and I think it's withdrawals. Been googling  and found this, some scary reading:

Scary reading. The first paragraph ("Acute excess intake of alcohol can cause drunkenness (intoxication) or even death") pretty much sums it up.0 -
Morning all
Not been on here much as have been struggling a bit.
Lurkio.. . my score is 4/7 so far. Def not going to manage the full month. Still, will keep going and see how I do. Not drinking today as none in house and won't be buying any - only have £5 to spend this week on the weekly spend challenge and need groceries!
Not sure why I've been struggling....New Year Blues maybe. Still...will geep going!!

Thanks Lurkio!! I figure this time last year I was having a drink every night (varying between one glass of wine and three or four!) so this year is a definite improvement!
I always go gung ho at things I try and do so maybe set myself targets that are too high. ANOTHER new years resolution....go easy on myself a bit this year!!**Keep Calm and Carry On!**0 -
I've finally had an Alcohol free day yesterday, so felt I could come back on here and post again. I'm impressed with how well everyone is doing in Jan, will try and catch up on all the posts.
Planning another one today.0
